Milan doesn't want to waste this opportunity so they managed to secure the first leg, next, in the second leg match Milan will play carefree because they are already leading by 3 goals meaning a draw is enough for them to qualify for the next round. This is different from other teams from the Italian League such as Roma who are also playing the first leg today Roma could only draw 1-1, but Roma still have a big chance in the second leg when playing at home Basically, Roma opportunity is still open and Roma certainly doesn't want to waste this last opportunity.

Undoubtedly, Jose Mourinho's performances in last days at Roma wasn't anywhere near impressive and that was the main reason he was sacked by the club but let's also not forget the fact that in his first season at Roma, he helped the club to lift the UEFA Conference League trophy. So while we talk about his shortcomings, we should also remember of his great contributions to the history of the club.

Daniele De Rossi since his appointment as the new managers of As Roma have doing exceptionally well for the club and the draw tonight at Feyenoord is a big step they've taken to reach the round of 16 in the UEFA Europa League competition. Hopefully they seal their win in the tie next week in Rome

I think for today match big surprised happened between the match Braga vs Qarabag because Qarabag can able to overcomes Braga with big scores 4-2 and before this match begin Qarabag status is only underdog but they can able to performing well at Braga home ground and scores 4 goals and this result makes them in the comfortable position especially in the second leg Qarabag will playing at their home ground and if Qarabag can able to qualified to round of 16 i think this could be a fantastic achievement for them because they never done it since 2014

Milan really know well how to utilized their home match because they got comfortable win from Rennes and during the match Milan was very dominate the game even at the beginning of first half Milan have already got several opportunities to scores from Leao and Loftus-Cheek and the goals from these players too makes Milan win the match and now Milan is almost certain to qualified to round of 16 and for Rennes i think their journey at this competition will be over because in the second leg to win 4 goals without conceded from Milan is very hard task for them especially with their current conditions

I don't mean to underestimate Jose Mourinho, but he was unable to bring AS Roma's ranking up in the Serie A League competition. When Mourinho was still managing Roma, they were ranked 9th in the Serie A standings, in the Europa League group phase Roma were only able to finish in second place. 2nd. Last season, Roma lost in the first leg when they visited Feyenoord with a score of 0-1, at that time Jose Mourinho was in charge of the AS Roma squad. which means, Jose Mourinho is no better than De Rossi.

On the other hand, AS Roma was able to match the home team with a score of 1-1. as I said before, it could potentially end in a draw. even though in truth, I favor AS Roma. but unfortunately, this match ended in a draw. Well, it's not certain that if AS Roma was still managed by Jose Mourinho, Roma would be able to win the match against Feyenoord. In fact, there is no guarantee of that. On the other hand, in this match, under the guidance of De Rossi, AS Roma played quite well. he was able to instruct his team by providing resistance to the home team. The point is, the two teams played quite evenly even though Feyenoord dominated the match a little more. In this match, De Rossi played with an offensive pattern. At least he didn't fail to bring his team to defeat against Feyenoord, even though he was playing away from home. I think De Rossi has shown his best performance for his squad.  We'll see, in the second leg match later.

Thanks to that red card to Toulouse and Di Maria for scoring the Penalty in extra time to seal the win for Benfica (while also saving my betslip ). For a moment there, I thought Benfica will have to settle for draw even though they're playing from home and a win today will leave them in good standing in France in the return leg. Milan won as well (as expected). Only Roma and Lens results are disappointing imo.

So now that all UEL matches for this week are over, thoughts?

Galatasaray beat Sparta Prague 3-2.
Icardi scored in the last minute and we won the game. We played well tonight, but we gave away too many chances and conceded 2 goals.
We took the advantage for the next game. Muslera is definitely the best player tonight.

Mourinho may be one of the best coach/manager in the past. People called him as a special one in the past. But he is no longer a special one in the last few seasons. Mourinho even realized it himself, he doesn't want to be called by a special one. This means Mourinho's capability is no longer the same as the past. So, it is reasonable if AS Roma fired him.

Yeah, it is not a too bad result. AS Roma could get 1 goal in the away match against Feyenoord. This can be very useful because AS Roma will play home in second Leg. AS Roma will get the advantage when they play at home. I hope AS Roma will win the next match, it is very possible to happen. I guess AS Roma will end the match with 2 goals.

The AC Milan game was so amazing to see them win Rennes with a score of 3-0. Although seeing the formation of AC Milan, you are supposed to know that AC Milan came for winning, and they don’t even try taking it easy on Rennes, which made that game interesting to watch. Although the game is still ongoing, we can downgrade Rennes because they can also have a goal but can’t meet up to equalise in this game today because it is already hot for them. Some will say Rennes has been seriously served with hot slices of bread, which means they are passing through a lot from the hands of AC Milan. 

The game between Feyenoord and AS Roma was quite amazing, seeing both teams struggle to have a goal. To be sincere, I thought AS Roma were going to win the game, but it ended up in a draw. Never the less, there is still a second leg, and I am quite sure that AS Roma will definitely win the match because De Rossi has been trying a lot for the team, and from all indications, improvements have been made and achieved, so we look forward to their next game.

A draw is not very good, but when you visit an opposing team, a draw is something valuable for Roma. Moreover, in their previous match, they were beaten by Inter Milan, so a draw against Feyenoord might be quite fair for them. However, Roma were runners up last season and with their less consistent performance this season it seems they will not be able to repeat the success of the previous season.

In this first leg match, Feyenoord was able to score an early goal or take a 1-0 lead, but they were unable to maintain the advantage they had because Roma were able to equalize through a goal scored by Lukaku. I think this draw opens up an opportunity for Roma in the second leg because they will play at home and that is an opportunity for them to beat feyenoord.

AS roma only got a draw against the host feyenord 1-1. but in my opinion it's pretty good because playing away at feyenord's home. while the 2nd leg will compete at AS roma's home, so to advance to the next round AS romah is still on the track. but for the Italian league itself to be in the top 4 still feels difficult, especially with AS roma's current performance which has not shown its peak performance.

Toulouse has been the better team in this match where Benfica has all the experience. They gave Benfica a penalty after being able to defend for very long time and even creates attacks. After Benfica scored their penalty and started leading by goal, Toulouse did not give them any time to settle, they attacked and got back the goal. If this game ends in 1-1, Toulouse will be happier because the second leg will be played in their home stadium and then and there, they will have the support of their own fans.

Daniele de Rossi is doing a great job, ever since he took charge of the team Roma has lost one match to Inter Milan in their domestic league. Even some of the players acknowledge that de Rossi has shown them certain things  that they lacked in their game. Playing feynoord away and getting draw from the match is favourable to Roma, I think they will win and progress to next stage of the competition in their home when they play host to feynoord. But De Rossi and the team should work on the rate at which they concede goals because since his arrival they have conceded in every game, if they could work on that part it be beneficial to his side.

Rome made a big mistake by firing Mourinho. He was one of the best coaches, if not the best coach in the EL and could have achieved the best result with the team. De Rossi simply doesn't have the experience to be able to work at such a level like him.

Yes, at least this is not a bad start for de Rossi's achievements. especially this is his first Europe League match. So, this might be an experience that will be very valuable for him to get to know more about the clubs out there. The draw result 1 -1 in the first leg was not a satisfactory result for Roma, but it was also not a very bad thing. They still have a chance in the second leg and they must win. Later they will play at home, right? So hopefully this will be enough of an influence on their victory. de Rossi has seen how the match goes this time and how his opposing club is like. So that at least there is an idea of what tactics and strategies should be applied for the second leg, which will be more effective in the future. I believe Roma will make sure he wins and continue qualifying next.

So far Rossi have been able to get all of the experience a football match could bring, which includes a win, a draw and a loss. Drawing his first Europa game isn't really a bad results but their performance showed they wernot just good beyond their domestic league, I actually expected feyenoord to have won .

Having the first goal and holding it till almost the end of the second half was indeea good performance but Roma had a last minutes luck which helped them give them an edge which could mean them in a very good edge to have won the match. Roma is yet to have so much strength already to prove how well they can successfully get pass this stage they currently are in the Europa this season. Feyenoord looks rather more promising than Roam does personally so I would see feyenoord is a favourite.

That's the one thing about teams from the Netherlands, they always play offensive football and don't ever feel they need to defend because that what feyenord did even after scoring, I mean one would have thought that they would actually defend that goal of their to atleast secure a victory in their first leg of play but that wasn't the case from my own perspective I think Roma was actually lucky to score an equalizer because if they feyenord would scored a second then salvaging a point would have been very much difficult for them.

That's quite reasonable to worry about. Just imagine, after winning 2 - 1 in the 60th minute, suddenly Galatasaray had to get a red card, and then after a few minutes, Sparta Prague were able to equalize the position. Really, this was a pretty rough and tough match between the two. Physical fights are inevitable in this match. Whether they were lucky or not, Sparta Prague ended up experiencing a big mistake which resulted in a red card too. And indeed, Icardi was the savior in this match who was able to take advantage of the opportunity to score the winning goal. In the second leg, Galatasaray must be able to control the ball more and be effective up front. A difference of 1 goal is still risky enough to be calm, because anything could happen in the second leg.

Finally, Milan did it. 1 goal from the only shot on target managed to hit Rennes' goal in the 32nd minute. This time the position is temporarily 1 - 0.
Milan must be able to be more offensive and control the ball even better. they have to make the most of this at home match. At least they have to score another goal to be superior even in the second leg. But anyway, the current position is still very safe because the match is still quite long. However, if you look at how the match went, Milan really should have been able to win with more goals.

A good journey for De Rossi in the Europa League, Roma did not suffer a defeat and also did not manage to win, Personally I think he deserves appreciation for the draw. Roma has a big chance to win in the second leg, Where they will act as hosts. Lukaku has been a good loan for Roma front line, So far Lukaku has scored 15 goals in all competitions for Roma.

On the other hand, i really enjoyed the game where both teams traded attacks, there were lots of opportunities for both teams which failed to convert into goals. If De Rossi can manage his squad well in the second leg, Roma will definitely advance to the round of 16. But we'll see how the second leg will go, the intensity will definitely be very high.

Apart from that, Mourinho shadow is fading day by day, new hopes are emerging for De Rossi existence. it would be good if De Rossi submitted a request to club officials to make Lukaku status permanent from his parent club Chelsea, because what is certain is that Lukaku will not return if Pochettino is still the head coach of the Blues next season.

With results like this then yes, I recognize that De Rossi is not as bad as imagined. Because yes, even though AS Roma lost by Inter in Serie A, but that was clearly a fair or decent result. But, if for example in this away match or in the first leg in the Europa League against Feyenoord AS Roma lost, then the losing result would make the assessment for De Rossi still bad. But yes, in fact De Rossi can still succeed in making AS Roma not lose against Feyenoord and yes, results like this remain a good result for AS Roma.

Because after all, in the second leg later that AS Roma will also play at home and yes, if considering about AS Roma's performance so far with De Rossi. At least, I believe AS Roma still has a good chance to be able to qualify for the next round, of course, by defeating Feyenoord in the second leg later at the Stadio Olimpico.

I was really worried about Galatasaray's performance today.    I mean we were actually quite decent when it comes to scoring. But I didn't like our defending at all. We shouldn't have conceded 2 goals that easy. After that red card I was like "That's it!". We were still effective while playing with 10 players though but we were giving huge spaces to our competitor too.

Muslera's critical save and Sparta Prag's also getting a red card were the moments that we started believing in the win again.    Thankfully Icardi saved us by showing his quality with a great finishing in the last minutes.
