@BillyBobZorton. Dana's original storyboard for UFC 226 was to have 3 champion versus champion fights in 1 super card. But because of scheduling problems and other reasons, only Stipe versus Daniel Cormier was confirmed.

TJ is also saying Mighty Mouse is ducking him.

During an interview with TMZ, Dillashaw was asked why the “Mighty Mouse” super fight fell off, to which TJ responded by saying that Demetrious Johnson is scared. He further added that Johnson knows that he has a target on his back and he’s comfortable fighting the guys he’s fighting.

What happened to the main card? Dana White planned UFC 226 to be bigger that included TJ Dillashaw versus Mighty Mouse Johnson and Amanda Nunes versus Chris Cyborg. He might be running out of storyboards and characters hehehe.

TJ Dillashaw will face Cody Gradbrant in a rematch in august 4th I think, for the next UFC 227, so I don't know where you got that from. This card is pretty decent, I've seen much worse. Miocic vs Cormier is a big fight, always good to see Holloway in the octagon and I want to see Nganou win and fight Miocic again, but I hope Cormier wins to be honest, just because he is the smaller guy big a long shoot. After a win vs Cormier then he would be the best and maybe we can see a Jon Bones Jones rematch.

If this fight was about 5 years ago, then I would have said Daniel would have won, but he's getting old now, and his last defeat was crushing. Miocic has just about every advantage over Cormier that you can imagine:

1. He's much bigger, like a 40lbs weight advantage which is significant for submissions
2. He's several years younger, with a much longer reach
3. He's more aggressive, I notice Cormier tends to shy away in aggressive fights, even though he usually tends to win anyway.

I'm more interested in the Ngannou fight however, though his hype his significantly died down since he's been whooped twice in 13 fights lol. Looks like that world record punching power isn't worth mentioned when you're on the floor.
I agree with you. His last fight with Jones really have somewhat exposed him on his weakness. Cormier may look powerful and aggressive but with younger fighters that moves faster than him, Cormier is like a sitting duck waiting to be hit. Miocic can finish the fight very early but I think Cormier's ground and pound game is better than Miocic.

Seems like Jones really had the tools to expose Cormier weaknesses. They have been talking about it in their media promotion and even Cormier said that it won't happened, but as the fight progresses he lean more on his right (or left I can't remember) and Jones can kick the hell out of Cormier. So I don't know how Cormier can overcome Miocic in this fight. Unless he has something in his arsenal that we haven't seen yet and surprise all of us.

My biggest question here is how Stipe Miocic's size, punching power and wrestling compare to Anthony "Rumble" Johnson's.

Daniel Cormier has always shocked me at how easily he handled power punchers like Rumble who looked unstoppable in their prime. I need to re-watch Stipe's fight with Francis Ngannou to try and get an indication of how much Stipe's wrestling has progressed. I seem to remember Junior Dos Santos taking Stipe down in the 4th round of their first fight years ago. JDS not known for being the most powerful or skilled wrestler.

Every single fight on this card interests me. Especially Michael Chiesa vs Anthony Pettis which has been cancelled and rescheduled at least once after Conor threw those things through the bus window.

Bellator 201 is june 29th 2018.

Stipe Miocic is more of a strategy fighter so I'll go with Stipe the problem here is that if Cormier hit Stipe at an open spot even if Stipe is the one in advantage it will turn the table, the fight here is like an endurance test if both of them clash and fight with wrestle it will cause less damage than hitting directly if this ever happens it will be a win for Miocic.

I'm a DC fan, but I have to pick Stipe hear. DC's strength is his wrestling but Stipe is a pretty decent wrestler himself. Both are very well condition, but I'm seeing that around 3rd-5th round DC will be hit that might change the complexion of the fight. Then it would be interesting to see Stipe fight Cain after he destroys DC on the 7th. Really interesting story line though. Cain avenges the lost of his best buddy. Lol.

Fight is scheduled on July 7, 2018 at T-Mobile Arena

Stipe Miocic (c) vs. Daniel Cormier [Heavyweight]
Max Holloway (c) vs. Brian Ortega [Featherweight]
Francis Ngannou vs. Derrick Lewis [Heavyweight]
Michael Chiesa vs. Anthony Pettis [Lightweight]
Gökhan Saki vs. Khalil Rountree Jr. [Light Heavyweight]
Uriah Hall vs. Paulo Costa [Middleweight]
Yancy Medeiros vs. Mike Perry [Welterweight]
Raphael Assunção vs. Rob Font [Bantamweight]
Curtis Millender vs. Max Griffin [Welterweight]
Dan Hooker vs. Gilbert Burns [Lightweight]

For Stipe Miocic and Daniel Cormier, this will go to the distance and if ever someone will be knocked out, I'm thinking it would be Daniel Cormier. I'll go for Max Holloway and Francis Ngannou. This guy (Francis Ngannou) will prove himself worthy for another shot at the title. So if he wins this one, Dana might give him another shot at Stipe Miocic's title that is if Stipe will retain his title against Cormier.
