It was clearly shown that Tyron's right hand was very much faster than Darren Till's ability to move his head away from it hehehe.

In any case, he showed more class in his defeat than his victories. Stay true Darren!

^  Hah!  I don't think so.  Whitaker has been running good imo.  He'll eventually lose, and it's gonna be down hill from there.  I don't think he'll be making a come back after losing his belt.

But I'd like to see the bookies close Woodley as the underdog (again). 

That would be interesting. But I will take Whitaker over Woodley though. Gonna be close, probably like Yoel vs Whitaker. But Robert will whoop Woodley.

There were some good fights on this card. Some impressive performances. A lot of heart showed by Carla Esparza, Darren Till, Karolina K, Aldana, Pudilova and maybe a few others--even if they lost their fights.

I really didn't think Till was deserving for a shot at the title tbh.  He first has to go thru Colvington imho.  Yeah he won vs Wonderboy Thompson, but it was so close that it could have gone Thompson's way too...  And he missed weight.


Hopefully Robert Whitaker at MW.

It was really a nasty choke. But Till thinks his better than Woodley though. But a win is a win for Tyron and he may have shout the mouth of some of his detractors with this win. What's next? Covington perhaps? How about moving up in another weight class?

Think he may move up a division now. Maybe Till will also.

Till barely laid a punch on Woodley, I expected Woodley to win but no so easily. Shame for Till as he may not get another title shot for a long time now. Woodley proved why he’s the champ though with a really dominant performance. Who next for him now?

^  I'm actually glad Till made weight and with one pound to spare.  Lol.  I guess the UFC was kinda playing it safe by making Usman weigh in too.  Dana White wasn't taking any chances this time.    But even if Till misses weight, I still wanna watch the bout go on.

@tokeweed. Do not be disappointed but Darren Till has made the weight hehehe. He also does not look dehaydrated and he appears to be more assured of himself in the face off.

Also, the women's flyweight championship was cancelled because of medical reasons for Nicco Montaño. There is always a fight cancellation in the UFC hehehe.

^  We'll just have to see on weigh in day how Till looks tho.  He was walking around with 180 - 182 pounds yesterday akaik.  If he looks dehydrated, then the lines should tilt back to Woodley. 

When Darren Till and Tyron Woodley do their media and weigh in staredowns, Darren Till may also have a massive size advantage. That could be part of it.

There's no doubt Woodley is a great wrestler. I don't think he has the cardio to wrestle for more than one or two rounds though and he might totally be gased out after that. Woodley took down Stephen Thompson in one of their fights and it was too draining on him. He slowed down noticeably & had to recover. Woodley using his wrestling in these 5 rounders may not be an option.

Woodley throwing body shots @ Darren Till is a nice thought. Darren Till is a bit on the tough and gritty side though. If Woodley doesn't finish him, he could outwork Woodley.

Who is Thompson the Gorilla? If you are talking about Tyron Woodley then be careful. You might be branded as a racist hehe. Also, Darren Till uses the moniker Gorilla.

In any case, Dana's storyboard for Darren might be, win the welterweight championship, then challenge Robert Whitaker for his middleweight belt.

^  But Woodley has prolly learned a lot after that beating he got from Mac Donald, right?  He can't let Till get aggro on him from the start.  Dan Hardy said it right.  Woodley has to show Till that he can't be run over...  A big body shot or a double leg could do the trick imo, and let Till have second thoughts.

Big question there is whether KK has an answer to Andrade's powerful takedowns and slams. Andrade might also have the more powerful strikes. KK does have excellent cardio and pushes a good pace. I'm not certain if KK hits hard enough to get Andrade's respect. Andrade might walk through all of KK's punches and absorb them the way she does without being fazed too much.

I probably wouldn't bet a lot on that fight. I would look for an easier option.


Good analysis & breakdowns by krach although I'm on the opposite end of some of his picks.

Woodley didn't look that impressive to me when he fought Demian Maia. Got the impression Woodley avoided the clinch to avoid exerting himself and testing his gas tank. Most of Woodley's opponents give him plenty of time and space to rest and catch his breath. I don't think Darren Till will give Woodley that luxury. Woodley has a tendency to not throw many punches or kicks in a round. Darren Till might outstrike Woodley on volume due to Woodley's inactivity.

Woodley looking passive in many of his fights that give the impression Darren Till will win by being more aggressive, throwing a higher volume of strikes and pressing the action.

Oh and Woodley's line is fading.  He's up to 2.15 now.  Hmmm...  Bad weight cut, recurring shoulder injury...?  Hydrogen?  

Well Thompson the "Gorilla" had return to defend his title, This is a superb fight as the challenger will surely have a match fight with an even odds with both have losses, But I really think that the champion here had the upper hand because of his massive body, But let's just see if it will be the case, If there will be an advantage with Woodley with his massive body, Explosive power, And  a remarkable takedown defense, or Till that has a long reach and athletic body to fight the champion, Well I can't wait to see the match up!

Totally fucking forgot about this. Really hope Till wins but this is his biggest, toughest fight yet. His undefeated record will be really tested, I just hope he comes out victorious.

^  Got any notes for Andrade vs KK?  I made a small bet on KK at 4.25.  She's obv mentally strong judging from her fight vs JJ, so she could get lucky as long as she tries to finish all three rounds.

And this video makes me wish I made a bet on Till when he was at 2.30 or so a couple of weeks ago.

Not a lot of notes for this one.

--Carla Esparza was taken down a few times by Claudia Gadelha in her last fight. If Claudia can get Esparza down, MMA logic says Tatiana Suarez might definitely get Esparza down. Of course, Gadelha's takedowns were setup by her kickboxing. The feints and setups Gadelha used to get Esparza down need to be taken into account. That said, Suarez could be a betting lock, here.

--Tatiana Suarez was ranked #3 in the world for her divison of wrestling when she was diagnosed with thyroid cancer. That diagnosis hurt her chances for olympic stardom as it took her 2-3 years for her cancer to fully go into remission, iirc.

--Both Niko Price and Abdul Alhassan are explosive and athletic fighters with high finish rates of their opponents. I'm not a fan of playing under or inside the distance props. If the under 2.5 rounds prop is offered I might take it. Even under 1.5 rounds might be #worth. I probably wouldn't take under 1.5 personally. But for those who enjoy over/under Price vs Alhassan and Tatiana Suarez vs Carla Esparza could be worth looking into.

--For those who enjoy playing underdogs, Cody Stamann could be worth a look.

--Irene Aldana vs Lucie Pudilova and John Dodson vs Jimmie Rivera could be over 2.5 round fights. Those lighter weight divisions don't see a lot of finishes some days. I never play over/under. Just throwing this out there to try to produce some conversation.

--I don't have any picks for the main event. How well Darren Till's weight cut goes will be crucial here. I think its best to wait till after weigh ins to make bets on the main event. To see how weight cut drama unfolds.

^  We'll see...  Sure Till is the bigger guy and more aggro, but weight cutting has been an issue for him for a couple fights now afaik.  And that could affect his performance in the cage imo.  But then again, we'll see.  Woodley has cardio issues, so let's watch how Till can use that to his advantage (if he's smart).  

Woodley could go explosive 2 - 1 - 2 and knock Till out.  That's how see it end.

^  Heh...  I gotta admit Till could do a Rory Mac Donald and pressure Woodley then force him to turtle up.  But I haven't lost betting on Woodley yet (two bets in both vs Thompson bouts, and the vs Lawler one), so why stop now...  Lol.

I reckon because of his longer reach and size advantage, Darren Till will fight from long distance and trap Tyron with the cage behind his back, which I also observed that it is something Tyron is doing in most of his fights. He likes to go back and feel the cage with his back for security. Maybe he was in many gang fights hehehe.
