@eaLiTy. It was not a haymaker that dropped Travis. It was more like a short hook that hit him on top of the head that did it. I had to watch the replay 2 times to see if it really was what happened.
Also Mario Yamasaki did not stop the fight soon enough. That was a bad call from him. Poor Travis could have been injured more unnecessarily.
Derrick Lewis is one of the sloppiest fighter i have seen in the UFC and i do not know how he is on a winning streak. He calls himself a brawler and if you look at the second round in the first minute Derrick connects some combinations and he was swinging widely and one good upper cut went through and that started the down fall and he battled for another minute .Browne took more shots unnecessarily because of the bad stoppage and he was out cold for the first time in his career .

Won bet on Markos and Derrick Lewis all thanks to Krach. I highly recommend his picks not because they are a sure thing but because you learn and gain from his insights on the fighters and the match ups. You can find the link to his website posted in the thread.

Thank you again Krach!
Congrats on your win for betting against Travis Browne. Browne really surprised me with the wonderful first round as he was really performing like he used to perform when he first started out and he was kicking the shit out of Derrick Lewis and then he got clipped from a hay maker from Lewis and that changed the fight. Next i would like to see Browne facing Francis Ngannou which would be an interesting match up.

Derrick Lewis vs Travis Browne and Johny Hendricks vs Hector Lombard was the hardest pick in this event and the rest of the fight card was pretty easy picks as everyone i predicted won the match and i never expected a one dimensional Derrick Lewis to win the match after seeing his performance against Roy Nelson.

Another stack up match from UFC. Here's my prediction for those I have known fighters

Derrick Lewis vs.  Travis Browne (18-5-1) (Heavyweight) - I'll go with Travis Browne.
Johny Hendricks  vs.  Hector Lombard (34-6-1) (Middleweight) - Difficult to pick. But I put my money on Hendricks
Sara McMann  vs.  Gina Mazany (4-0) (Women's Bantamweight) - Easy work for Sara McMann

I lost on Levis vs Browne prediction. I think Browne is already done. He needs to rethink what his next step about his career. If given the chance, he should take a lightly opponent just to get his confidence back. Otherwise, he will be another journeyman in UFC or maybe the UFC will not renew his contract.

Markos    Cash it

Nice.  I wish I listened and followed that bet.  Please post more of your picks and especially your underdog value picks in all the UFC threads if you have any.  First Herrig and now Markos.  Those two picks alone could start a small following on your YT channel and website https://degenbet.com around here.  I wanna help you get those numbers up and get more people to follow and bet on MMA.  Such a good sport and so fun to make bets on.

Edit:  Here are the results.

It is now time to place your bets my fellow gamblers. Travis Browne is now the slight favorite in some sportsbooks. I have made another bet on the over 1.5 rounds. I speculate Travis will try to tire his opponent down and he will not fully engage in the 1st and 2nd rounds.

i just saw the weigh-ins.  Travis Browne looks leaner than usual.  Maybe he's going for the full 5 rounds and try to gas Lewis here...?  I'm not sure but have Lewis fought in a 5 rounder before?  If not I could see this go to Browne's favor.
This will be the first time Derrick Lewis will be going for a five round match and even in the match against Roy Nelson he gassed out terribly in the third round and so if Travis Browne could drag this match to the later rounds then it will be hard for the black beast to win the match and i expect Travis to win the match because no one knocked him out cold in his career and he could take some punches.

@bbc.reporter and HaXX0R1337 i am done fighting over Edmond  Tongue,i always said he was not a good MMA coaching with the way he handled Ronda and Browne, what i said was he was an accomplished striker and so he could coach anyone when it comes to striking but he cannot turn a rabbit into a lion . Cheesy

Lets talk about Johny Hendricks which was once considered the best Welterweight at one stage and his split decision loss to Georges St-Pierre changed his career, which i thought Hendricks won, either way it was a close one and he lost his championship to yet another split decision to Robbie Lawler and after those battles he is on a losing streak and move to  Middleweight and will be Hector Lombard which is a tough match for Hendricks.

Edmund Targaryen or whatever he calls himself is not a good coach even as a strikng coach. If he was he would be the first person to tell Ronda that he cannot turn a rabbit into a lion. What he did was input the wrong information and ideas in Ronda's head. His fundamental philosophy in fighting might also be flawed.

fade Edmund!

Lewis

not great odds but I see Mc Mann and Esparza getting the W

not 100% sure yet but ill prob fade Hendricks too

Yes of course! Edmund Tarverdyan is a fraud and is now exposed all over the world as one. Why did Ronda Rousey still hire him as her head coach for the fight versus Amanda Nunes? Maybe he has charisma and is very good in scamming. He will make a good founder for altcoins.

My prediction, Derrick Lewis will KO Travis with a haymaker.

I'm picking Travis Browne here. I don't care if he's coach by Edmund Tarverdyan,
the guy Browne already knows what’s required if he is to reach the title. And I
think he is more agile than Lewis, so he will take advantage of the ring.
Brown will establish his jab to keep away from Lewis's powerful punch. And
once Lewis will get tired, Browne will put a submission on him.
So I bet on money on Travis Browne.

@ eaLiTy so what are you trying to tell here,in normal conditions a MMA gym consist of many different coaches and what ever it may be Edmond is a bad coach,If not you could not see these sort of performance from Ronda Rousey who was once considered the best MMA athlete and Travis Browne who keep on loosing his fights under him.

@eaLiTy. Does that say that Edmund is a good striking coach for you? You keep saying that he is a good striking coach but not a good MMA coach then what business does he have coaching in MMA? He is a fraud and all the other MMA coaches knows this. Amanda Nunes did not shake his hand after their fight because she was disgusted with what he was doing to Ronda.
That is the problem he is facing right now,if you spar at a MMA gym there are several coaches,a coach for striking, wrestling,BJJ and so on. Edmond just focus on striking and if you are a good coach they will concentrate on an individuals core strength that is Judo and grappling in the case of Rousey and instead of that he focuses solely on striking from what i understand and so is the reason everyone is mad at him.

@eaLiTy . If Edmund says that Ronda can box with anyone then it shows that there is something wrong with that head of his. He made Ronda think that and look what happened versus Amanda Nunes. Is that a good striking coach to you?
Let me tell you one thing bud, sparring inside a gym and doing every thing right is one thing and replicating that same performance in a real fight inside the cage is a different thing. Edmund was really hyping and the entire UFC roaster was hyping her as the best pound for pound and everyone was neglecting the real pound for pound Cyborg. She was winning matches with Judo throws and arm bars and if you look at her match against Bethe Correia where she tried to box and if you look closely Ronda ate many punches in that 34 second knockout and never expect to stand in front of heavy hitting boxers they will knock you out and so is the reason i would complain Edmond, rather than focusing on her core strength they focus on striking and we saw the results.

Here's a couple of videos that feature Browne and Lewis.  I'm honestly not really sure on who to bet on in the main event and I might abstain and pass for now.  I think Browne will do well in this fight tho, dunno just a feeling I got seeing that Lewis has not really fought anyone competent enough to be and be able to stay in the top 10.  Anyway here are the videos.

Fight Night Halifax Free Fight: Travis Browne vs Josh Barnett
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JHjNG3sKzUQ

Fight Night Halifax Free Fight: Derrick Lewis vs Gabriel Gonzaga
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yh4JZRN3EEA

Here's a funny quote from Lewis:

“(Next I want) Mark Hunt, (Alistair) Overeem – everyone in the top 10, top five,” Lewis said. “Whatever. Give me the belt after this. That’s my plan. These guys getting popped left and right with steroids and anal beads. We’ll see what happens.”

Is it a good time to get in on Derrick or should I wait for it to move more?

I dont think there will be a huge move in odds either way. I am not waiting on any moves for this card.
You can also space out your bets and stake half now half later if you think it might move in your favor.

Good idea. I will do the half now and then half later betting strategy next time. Sometimes I become irritated when I bet early and the odds change and go higher a day after usually when I bet on the underdog.

I also watched the video and read your recommendations. I will follow you once again on the Randa Markos bet. Do you see the same mispricing here like the Felice Herrig bet?

The main event is a tough match up.Travis Browne is on a losing streak after getting to 13 matches without a loss and Derrick Lewis is a real beast in the heavy weight division as he has 15 knockout victories out of 17 wins which is scary but the problem with Lewis is that he gasses out soon and i am not convinced with his split decision over Roy Nelson as both were really sloppy in that match.

@eaLiTy. If he was a good striking coach he should have taught Ronda to move her head, to dodge and weave and not to be someone's punching bag. He should have made Ronda at least have a fighting chance versus Holly or Amanda Nunes. With Travis Browne look ar his win/loss column after he left his former fight camp and transferred to Edmund. I see red.
It is easy to teach someone something and the student have to replicate and do that in a real fight situation and these are different things altogether and in this case Ronda Rousey have to make things work, as a coach you can provide the best tips and build a confidence level ,but the only thing i don't accept about Edmond was when he said Ronda could box with anyone and she even defeats world class boxers while sparring.Initially i said Edmond is not a good MMA coach but he is a good striking coach and that is what made Travis Browne loose his creativity and movement and MMA is all about creativity and movement.

Derrick Lewis - touchs browne,s chin, night night  - even if we see the old browne with footwork, Lewis will test his chin at some point.
Hector Lombard - I am not convinced Hendricks´mind is in the fight game, Lombard has good wrestling, they should cancel each other out and this turns into a stand up fight.
Randa Markos - At first look I was going to pick Esparza  but I watched her last fight again. She doesnt like being hit in the face, after the Joanna fight and getting destroyed, I dont think she is the same. Esparza has some of the best take downs in her divison, but that is it. Markos has some solid wrestling and alltough she has made some fighter IQ mistakes in some of ther past fights, including pulling guard and going for a sub when she should just seperate and keep it standing, she is game for trading blows. She gets in people´s face and will take one to give one, this with wrestling doesnt match up with Esparza well , Esparza would perfer to just lay and pray wrestlefuck for 3 rounds. I dont think Markos is going to let that happen.

Those are my picks Ill make a video tomorrow.

Edmund Tarverdyan is not a good MMA coach but he is a good striking coach ,if you look at his profile he is very well versed in Karate, Tae-Kwon-Do, Wushu, Kung-Fu San-Shou, Draka, Shootboxing, Muay-Thai, and Boxing and competed in national and international matches throughout his career. The problem is that it not that really hard to teach the basics of striking to a judoko but cannot be the best in it and that is what happened when you are facing a professional boxer like Holmes who boxed throughout her career then it is a different ball game.

There is also a bellator event, Matt Mitrione vs Fedor Emelianenko, a day before FN 105.
I am looking forward to the Bellator main event and it is a fought fight for the legend Fedor Emelianenko ,if he is to come up with a performance like he did against Fábio Maldonado then Matt Mitrione will knock him out cold .
Derrick Lewis vs Travis Browne is a tough fight to call as Travis Browne is not at his best and Derrick is knocking people out and if he connects then its good night for Browne ,have to wait till the weigh ins to make a decision.

Elias Theodorou, Sara McMann and Carla Esparza might be good picks here.

A lot of the names on the undercard have never fought in the UFC event, which could make it difficult to know how good they are.

I think for this fight, Travis Browne did most of his training at blackhouse -- a different MMA gym from Edmond tarverdyan's glendale fight club gym.

Edmond was supposed to have visited once a week to train Travis for this fight but Travis didn't train with Edmond as much as he did for his last few fights.

There is also a bellator event, Matt Mitrione vs Fedor Emelianenko, a day before FN 105.

Travis Browne's coach is Edmund Tarverdyan.

Edmund Tarverdyan is a horrible MMA coach.

Therefore, I'm betting large against him.
