Oh god. as i watch the replay, Hardy asks a question in English. Then the Japanese lady translates it into Japanese for the crowd. Then that guy translates it into Portuguese for Formiga. Then the guy translates Formiga's answer into English. Then the Japanese lady translates it into Japanese.

I don't know though that Claudia has cardio issues. But it was evident in round 2 as @Hydrogen have said. Andrade’s pace and output were too much for Gadelha to handle as the bout wore on. Andrade just took advantage as Claudia has no resistance as all. She was just like standing there. It was really a setback for her because she is aiming to fight for the belt once again but Andrade derail her plans.

I like Claudia Gadelha a lot. She is a great woman.

Although I like her, people should know Amanda Nunes, Jose Aldo and Claudia Gadelha's cardio issues could be from abusing steroids. They aren't the only ones. Many MMA fighters with cardio issues could have done the same.

I'm not typing this to say bad things about people. I hope that people won't make the same mistake of abusing steroids and ruining their cardio/body.

It might also mean they can never fix their cardio issues, they can only try to fight at a slow pace the way Amanda Nunes did the last time she fought Valentina Shevchenko.

Wtf happened to Claudia Gadelha?  I thought she was on her way to challenge the Polish girl for the women's SW belt?  And why did she even agree to get this fight on?  It's such a risk for her.

Anyway, here are the results:

Yeah, she was the consensus no. 2 behind Joanna Jedrzejczyk but she was outclassed by Jessica Andrade. I mean she was just massacred by Andrade. What a fight. I mean she doesn't have any answer and even slamming takedown on Claudia. Damn what a fight. You guys should watch the highlights and see it for yourself. Those women are very strong and powerful. And Andrade was on a different level. So its gonna be Jedrzejczyk vs Andrade next for the belt. Eager to see which will stay on top because this women are really scary. LOL.

Meh, the division just sucked now with Gadelha out of the picture.  I think she should have gotten a title shot after beating the other Polish girl (I know it's Karolina 'something', too lazy to search).  I wouldn't really be interested in watching JJ vs Andrade.

But we'll see.  Let's see how the UFC markets this one.

Weak card. Most of these fighters are past their prime and most probably are kept just to keep the UFC's international market checked. Well for the main card, my bet is with OSP as Yushin doesnt really pose that much threat and being a late replacement, did not get much time in training camp. I'm looking forward on the gohkan saki fight, being a champ in kickboxing, its interesting how he performs in the octagon.

Joanna Jedrzejczyk is looking to break Ronda's record in the women's side for the most title defenses with she face Rose Namajunas at UFC 217.

Its really a beatdown and display of superior attacking skills from Jessica Andrade and destroys Claudia Gadelha. I don't know though that Claudia has cardio issues. Bellator 183: Benson Henderson versus Patricky Freire is later today.

Two back to back days of MMA.

Wtf happened to Claudia Gadelha?  I thought she was on her way to challenge the Polish girl for the women's SW belt?  And why did she even agree to get this fight on?  It's such a risk for her.

Anyway, here are the results:

Joanna Jedrzejczyk is scheduled to fight Rose Namajunas @ UFC 217 on november 4th in madison square garden, new york.

That's probably why Claudia Gadelha took the fight with Jessica Andrade. Claudia Gadelha has had cardio issues throughout her career. It is possible for her to beat Andrade she needed to slow the pace of the fight down, similar to how Amanda Nunes slowed down the pace when she fought Valentina Shevchenko.

If Gadelha couldn't last 3 rounds with Andrade she probably wouldn't have lasted 5 rounds against Jedrzejczyk anyway. It doesn't change anything. Gadelha has to get her cardio issue fixed or find a way to slow down the pace of her fights so she doesn't get tired halfway through.

I like Gadelha a lot. It was sad to see her get beat down that way. I stopped watching, it was obvious the fight was over once she got dead tired in the 2nd round.

Some notes.

Charles Rosa versus Mizuto Hirota was pulled out of concern for Hirota's health after a difficult weight cut.

Daichi Abe has highlight reels of himself on youtube, even though he only has 5 fights. I hope he lives up to the hype. Japan could use some heroes.

Any fight that is japan versus korea is likely to be more brutal than normal given racial tensions between korea and japan and their history in world war II.

I'm hoping Rolando Dy pulls the upset. He seems like he REALLY wants to fight in the UFC more than anyone I can remember.

Gokhan Saki has an 0-1 record in MMA but is 83-12 in kickboxing with 59 knockouts. No one knows how good Saki's wrestling/grappling is other than his trainers/sparring partners who aren't likely to say much about it.

Ovince St Preux was originally scheduled to fight Shogun Rua who is a stand up fighter. Now St Preux is facing a last minute change against Yushin Okami who is a wrestler. Don't know if it will make a difference.

Other

- A light heavyweight rematch between former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Mauricio Rua and Ovince Saint Preux was expected to headline this event. The pairing met previously at UFC Fight Night: Shogun vs. Saint Preux in November 2014 where Saint Preux defeated Rua via knockout in the fight's opening minute. On September 16, Rua withdrew from the fight due to a knee injury and was replaced by former UFC Middleweight Championship challenger Yushin Okami on September 16.

- At the weigh-ins, Mizuto Hirota missed the featherweight limit of 146 pounds, coming in at 150 pounds. As a result his bout with Charles Rosa was changed to a catchweight and the fight is expected to proceed as scheduled. Subsequently, Hirota was fined 30% of his purse.
