The Preliminary Card is not as exciting as the main card, a lot of UD's and not much of KO's and Submission. Below is the result.

Featherweight Arnold Allen def. Jordan Rinaldi via Unanimous Decision
Lightweight Marc Diakiese def. Joseph Duffy via Unanimous Decision
Light Heavyweight Saparbek Safarov def. Nicolae Negumereanu via Unanimous Decision
Featherweight Dan Ige def. Danny Henry via Submission via rear-naked choke at Round 1 1:17
Women's Flyweight Molly McCann def. Priscila Cachoeira via Unanimous Decision
Featherweight Mike Grundy def. Nad Narimani via TKO at Round 2 4:42

Looks like the fans didn't quite enjoy the fight since there is 4 unanimous decision that took place, anyways the main card was so exciting and was the fight that I was looking for.

though he hit Marshman hard twice, one even wobbles his knees its not really enough to make him win. he seem to be out boxed by 1,2 jab of Marshman.

Marshman spammed a lot of combinations, the trouble there is practically all of them missed or ended 5 inches short of Phillips' face. Only a tiny number of them actually landed.

^  Yup...  And Till is a huge guy.  I guess it shows how Masvidal is used to fighting (and beating) bigger guys from his underground bare knuckle fighting days.

Pretty boring night except the huge k.o. inflicted to Till by Masvidal.

This is all because of the fighters weight. Either they have titan chin or lack of powers in hands/legs  Grin

Next event gonna be better. Curtis Blaydes (TKO Overeem with elbows/victory over Hunt) vs. Justin Willis ( has 8 win in a row) gonna be interesting.

Other fight I think gonna end by decision.

Till seemed to control the fight standing up and then boom... completely unexpected.
Last punch when Till was on the ground was really unnecessary though.  Roll Eyes

Edwards did ok in his fight but nothing impressive though.

-John Phillips could be a live betting underdog. His stand up striking is great. He can beat a lot of fighters in kickboxing matches. Wrestling/grappling is where he struggles.

I think judges robbed John Phillips of the win there ^.

Otherwise might have been a solid call.

Philips hasn't thrown much punch too.

i always want to see some knockouts but the only i've seen is the main event. not surprise Masvidal won the fight.

Sorry Conor, the real gangster of MMA has arrived hehehe. I reckon Jorge has made Dana's job easier in creating a storyboard for this rivalry.

Jorge Masvidal had a certain Experience he can use to win against Darren Till but I really think Till had the odds with this fight because he is younger than Masvidal had the heights and the reach advantage over Masvidal, but I cannot say even more with that because a determined Masvidal had the upper experience that Till and I am certainly looking at the number of experience in the fighter than the many odds ones can offer,  So my bet would be on Jorge Masvidal Because he really had what it takes to win here and would sure know some moves to take on Till.

Have Fun )@@( Stay Safe
My predictions for the event are Joseph Duffy, Gunnar Nelson, Darren Till vs Jorge Masvidal and Volkan Oezdemir vs Dominick Reyes will not go the distance as i expect fast finishes in both those fights and Jack Marshmann v John Phillips will go over 1.5 rounds, i am going with Gunnar Nelson because of his ground game and i expect the fight on the ground, when it comes to Duffy he has faced much tougher opponents and won those encounters and his experience is in his favor.

Jack Marshman (188)* vs. John Phillips (185)
Might be worth it to take a small chance on the heavy Marshman here in the battle of the Welshmen.
Phillips is 0-2 in UFC and Marshman is 2-3.

Interesting to note that Overweight UFC fighters are 0-1 so far this year but were 7-2 in 2018.

^  Yup.  The thing to look out for is any fighter who's below 25 years old, who's decent at fighting and a good personality.  If you find one, follow his/her fights.

Anyway, here are the weigh ins.  I'll post the YT video of the ceremonial weigh ins, it starts in three hours or so.  Official weigh ins are done.  One didn't make weight.

This is one of these difficult ones that Im not too positive in my choices.
Dominick Reyes 10-0 but Oezdemir was looking ustoppable til he ran in to the DC and Smith.
I will wait for a stoppage prop for this one.
Nice odds for Gunni Nelson might be worth a shot.

Notes.

-Dan Ige vs Danny Henry is an interesting stylistic match up. On one side you have Dan Ige who is one of Khabib Nurmagomedov's wrestling/grappling sparring partners and has shown some skill in those areas. On the other you have Danny Henry who has shown some good wrestling and scrambling ability in his finish of Hakeem Dawodu. We know both are skilled wrestlers but who is better--not the easiest question to answer.

-I've been watching open workouts, Darren Till looks sharp, much better than he did when he fought Woodley for the title. If it wasn't for Mike Brown (one of the best trainers in MMA) being in Jorge Masvidal's corner, I would say Darren Till definitely wins this.

-Priscila Cachoeira is the female fighter referee Mario Yamasaki lost his UFC stint over. People accused Yamasaki of not doing his job and failing to protect the fighter due to Cachoeira absorbing something like 200 significant strikes while only inflicting 2 significant strikes on her opponent in return. Mario Yamasaki responded: "I was giving her (Priscila Cachoeira) an opportunity to be a warrior". That comment got Yamasaki banned from refereeing UFC events.

-John Phillips could be a live betting underdog. His stand up striking is great. He can beat a lot of fighters in kickboxing matches. Wrestling/grappling is where he struggles.
