Blaydes had an easy win against Willis, he totally controlled the rythm of the fight... a few takedowns, a couple of strikes were enough to win.
Pettis ? Impressive k.o., I like him as a fighter. But again, I don't care much for the two punches that followed after Thompson was on the ground. Referees have to react faster.
About Pettis, let's not forget he beat Chiesa recently and did very well against Ferguson too.

Its good that Pettis was able to pull a convincing win after the 4 fights that leads to the main event.

^  He was prepared alright...  But obv wasn't prepared for that power.  I had Thompson leading first round and second, til...  Lol.

To anybody who hasn't seen it, please do.  Grin
I never expected to see Thompson being knocked by Pettis, Woodly tried for ten rounds and could not do that and Till won by decision and this is his first knockout loss in his career and that too from a fighter coming up in weight, Jorge Masvidal knocking out Till who is also coming up a weight class was another surprise last week, things are interesting now at 170 pounds right now as the pool of talent is huge and with Ben in the mix, there is a lot of potential interesting matches to be made, Pettis v Masvidal will be an interesting match as well but looks like Pettis is looking for a rematch in the new division with Rafael dos Anjos.

Maybe the Wonderboy Stephen Thompson will try to redeem himself after his lost to Darren Till at UFC Fight Night 130 where the fight ended at unanimous decision with the 3 judges siding to Darren Till. Fight happened almost a year ago, so Stephen Thompson has a lot of time to train and prepare for a fight.

Below are the odds for this fight courtesy of Nitrogensports

Stephen Thompson (-355) vs. Anthony Pettis (+300
Curtis Blaydes (-239) vs. Justin Willis (+208)
John Makdessi (1.376) vs. Jesus Pinedo (+230)
Jussier Formiga (+134) vs. Deiveson Figueiredo (-152)
Luis Pena (-236) vs. Steven Peterson (+205)
Maycee Barber (-254) vs.JJ Aldrich (+220)

Hey guys...  Just posting the videos for the weigh ins.  It's not exactly a great card but the event could be good enough as a filler for the PPV ones.  Enjoy.

Pettis last stepped inside the octagon only last October last year at UFC 229. He lost on that fight but I guess this is a good time for him to redeem himself same with Curtis Blaydes who is also coming out from a loss from UFC FN last November 2018 from Ngannou. This are the only two that I know in this fight card and will surely place my money on both.

A.Pettis going to get taken to school on this one.
3-6 in his Last 9 and recently suffering a brutal beat down at the hands of T. Ferguson makes you wonder how much Showtime has left in him.
For Pettis, 17 of his 21 wins have come by stoppage and Thompson never been stopped in his 3 loses.

I'll be rooting for Pettis in this match. His last match against Tony Ferguson although he was defeated, in this fight the "Showtime" will have its show.

^  The match should be good judging from how Pettis fought Ferguson bloody at LW.  It's Thompson who doesn't wanna commit and bang vs his opponents.

Hey guys...  Here's a classic video of Thompson vs Johny Hendricks.  I know most of you know or at least recognize Pettis at first glance.  But for some weird reason some of you don't really know much about Thompson, so watch it.

Enjoy.  Wink

Great Video of the fight for people that don't know Stephen Thompson and what he can do, I can see that Johnny Hendricks had such a hard time closing the range to Thompson and because of the accuracy of his Punch and kicks Hendricks can't do a thing with Thompson's Accuracy of combo punches and kicks that is why Wonder boy triumphant Against Hendricks,

We can see that Thompson can have a upperhand with the reach agaisnt Anthony Pettis but Pettis also had the accuracy of kicks and a combination of style of kicks that maybe Thompson could not also see, I really think that both fighter will show us an impressive performance when the fight comes, I would say I really like Anthony Pettis to win and his incredible Showtime move can come in handy, But I think that Stephen Thompson may have a plan in that move of his so I can't really decide on who's really gonna win.
