I love this man. I absolutely agree with the definition that he's the "Ron Paul" of the U.K.

He's a vessel for the truth, and a defender of freedom. He has my respect. Also they've suspiciously tried to kill him a few times in "accidents".

Go on - tell us who you think is using this mighty tool we call democracy?  And tell us how you managed to be smarter than the masses...its bound to be a great story.

One doesn't simply "manage to be smarter than the masses"... it's a mixture of natural gift, sacrifice and hard work.

Now you are being shy.  Tell us who you think is using this mighty tool we call democracy.

Democracy is a tool to grant the masses the illusion that that have some form of control over their lives. UKIP, in particular, is there to keep small-minded sentimentalists out of the way of the main show.

Oh, so he's the Harry Browne of the UK? The figurehead of the False Hope party?

Aw; is that a sign of affection?  Tell you what - skip the bad posts and make an intelligent one.  Silly conspiracy theories about UKIP not being real are just that - silly.  Come up with something smart.

There's no affection there, I just feel a deep, sickening pity for anyone that has to share space with you in real life.. it must be exasperating.

Oh.  If democracy is a tool, that implies you believe there is a master craftsman out there using this too to "grant the masses the illusion that that have some form of control over their lives."

You might call him the Ron Paul of the UK.

UKIP isn't real, it was set up with the intention of keeping Euro-sceptics a safe distance from the Conservative party. Farage is just a face to appeal to the misfits.

Why the f*ck am I posting in the politics section?? What a futile exercise.. personal amusement I suppose....

Its nice that you amuse yourself with these theories as well as amusing those who read them.

Hawker, even my worst posts are far ahead of anything your shrunken, diseased brain can appreciate. You poor, pitiful cretin.

You are a geek if you are too early to the party!

I tend to think the EU will collapse in on itself anyway.  These big empires never last and they seem to be getting more fragile as time goes by.   They used to last centuries, but now the Soviets only lasted 50 years or so, and the EU is barely a decade old.

I totally agree with you, although your time scales are possibly wrong!

I think the EU will be dead by 2040 but I hate to think what kills it!

I think anyone who wants to be a politician should be hung for being a potential danger to the public!
Didn't Mark Twain say something to that effect?

Or am I thinking H. L. Mencken?

Yeah right, he does attack the EU that's true, but him and his party seem to be very much a Nationalist party more than anything, don't make the mistake of thinking because these guys don't like the EU they're friendly towards the Libertarian and Anarchist view, the one thing I like is they're causing some chaos in the mainstream politics.

They are not nationalist in a racist sense, like the BNP etc, they are against the empire building of the EU.

They are quite libertarian in their supporter following but do have an authoritarian feel to some of their national policies.

But then, I don't trust any political party, because all they want is power.  The only difference is what they say to get their support!

I think anyone who wants to be a politician should be hung for being a potential danger to the public!

Yeah, I'm not particularly fond of them either.  They are always talking about how great democracy is.   They are paleo-conservatives (I think that's the term), not libertarians.
Well, as Hawker says, pulling out of the EU is the first step. Nothing productive can be done until that happens. And at least paleo-cons are small-government.

Better than the rest, but it's a low bar.

Under the existing system, most laws are implementations of EU directives.  Socialist, libertarian, communist, whatever; it doesn't matter if you have no way to enact your agenda.   UKIP has to succeed before any alternative viewpoint can even start to propose an alternative.

He's said plenty, I'm sure many have heard his words at times. But here he is telling people to take their money out of banks in the EU.

Btw, for those that don't know, Nigel Farage is the leader of UKIP (UK Independent Party), the up and coming Political Party that is very worth watching, especially running up to the 2015 general elections.

And here's an older one where he has a good rant and the corrupt bastichs (from 2010)
