Only because ISIS does not dare to attack Israel, you say that they had a relationship. I think ISIS smart enough they know that Israel can do more damage ISIS from countries that have been attacked them.
ISIS is having ties to a large number of military powers, and Israel is definitely one of them. I am not claiming that Israel is sending arms and funds to the ISIS, but I am sure that the Mossad is using the ISIS in order to overthrow Bashar al Assad from power. Assad is a strong supporter of Hamas, and for the Israelis, Assad is a bigger threat when compared to the ISIS.

A new report from the UN reveals that the Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) maintained regular contact with members of ISIS since May 2013. The UN identified contact with IDF forces and ISIS soldiers.
