april first,

That's right! I'm wondering for how long people will repost articles from the fool's day, there are a lot of them on Facebook too.

The good thing though is that people would talk more about Bitcoin if this article get many reposts on different sites. )

april first,

Well spotted there, Franky1 ^smile^

It still has some merit to develop some sort of system to manage and store data about your food intake and to use that data to create awareness about Obesity. Studies have shown that obesity are linked to Diabetes and Cancer and many other illnesses.

If some APP could be linked with the Blockchain to monitor daily food intake and doctors can access this information to assist their patients, this will be less of a problem. Obesity is costing the medical industry Billions.

That is a stupid article fragment.

It has a few keywords that make it essentially click bait. UN (big company) will use Blockhain to fight obesity (do something interesting).
All we are missing is, how, which Blockchain, where, and why!

That is not going to happen 100%. Imagine going to McDonalds or Burger King on a Friday and ordering a new row of sandwiches and getting rejected because you have already used all your 'fast food' points for the week last Monday alone  Grin This will lead to some funny conversations at the checkout in supermarkets though.

Do you mean another 10 minutes of waiting time for my food in the restaurant? What if there is a stress test (my meal will be "unconfirmed" for few days!)?

Sounds like food rationing during war time... Many countries do not even have enough food to start with.

The article is incomplete and doesn't provide any explanation how it is possible to fight obesity with blockchain technology.

It is probably the blog owner want to get some traffic, hence writing such craps. No particular direction has been given in the article.

Obesity can only be fought with awareness and nothing else.

UN Will Use Blockchain to Fight Obesity Good idea? Or bad? Might encourage the purchase of more potatoes and less potato chips, anyhow, but what if people want to stock up because they're into disaster preparedness or they don't like grocery shopping?
