I think that most of the PMs can't be handled by non-administrators.

On a somewhat-unrelated side note, has anyone else ever had problems with reCAPTCHA? When I was trying to get theymos's email last week I failed on it 8 times in a row before I gave up and got it from pgp.net.

Oh, it looks like the reCAPTCHA link I had at theymos.com wasn't working. reCAPTCHA must have updated their system since I put that link up. Annoying... I put up a new link. Thanks for mentioning it.

Have you thought about providing information for contacting moderators about categories for things you trust them handling without your involvement?

For example, have an auto response PM that basically does this:
Scam alerts: Maged, BadBear
Illegal posts: BadBear
Problems with a non-Global moderator: Maged

I guess what I'm saying is that with that many PMs it's probably worth your time to start going through and categorizing what the top reasons are that people PM you and using an auto-responder mod (like this) to let them know that if you don't respond within 24 hours they may want to consider contacting X, Y, or Z.

Here just now the two words were easy for me, but I've had some seriously difficult ones show up on there.

Hmm, threaded PMs may help with this issue. Kinda like Gmail style.

Yeah, save as new would be nice too.

The forum's PM system isn't perfect, so I occasionally miss/lose PMs, especially if the PM is about something more complicated than average and I put it on my to-do list (i.e. I keep the PM open in a tab and if my browser crashes I probably lose it). I received ~500 PMs in September, and I think I lost some of them. If you sent me a PM and I didn't respond after a week or so, send it again. You can also email me.
