The forum sells ad space in the area beneath the first post of every topic page. About 25% of ad income goes to the forum moderators as thanks for all of their work. (There are many moderators, so each moderator gets only a small amount -- moderators should be seen as volunteers, not employees.) The rest is stored in the forum's treasury (verifiably), where it sits until the forum needs it.

hee-ho.
what? who? where?

the ones below every first post of a page is this forum's ad, btw. it should show one of the ads listed on this page. if you're seeing different ads that means something is wrong.

I made a post today and when I came back to see if any replies, someone added a sig ad.
Poking around, I found that a number of original posts had a sig ad. Like mine, I bet that
many of these are not placed by the poster.  Any thought's on how this is happening and how to stop it?
(lets see if this post gets an ad)
