Thank you for the information.  This is my first time receiving a transaction so I wasn't able to control the fee.  I will do as you suggested and try to contact a miner.  Is it possible this will never get confirmed because of the size?
Yes, it is possible the the transaction could never confirm, but not necessarily due to the size. There are other things that could happen that can cause the transaction to never confirm, although I think that never confirming is unlikely. It will probably just take a few days to confirm. If you want to raise the odds of it confirming, you can rebroadcast (or ask someone else to) the transaction continuously so that all nodes are reminded that the transaction exists.

There are a few problems here. First, your transaction spends from this unconfirmed transaction: https://blockchain.info/tx/53adee2f59c7ba40b6162bc67106c640949fa10880640c31a1333aed636d3602 Your transaction will not confirm until this transaction that it spends from confirms as well. That transaction pays a fee rate of ~63 satoshis/byte. The current recommended fee is 140 satoshis/byte according to http://bitcoinfees.21.co/.

The next problem is that your transaction is absolutely massive. It is 16960 bytes in size, ~75 times larger than the average transaction size. That means that nodes are less likely to relay this transaction and it also means that you will need to pay a very large fee. The fee rate of the transaction is only 50 satoshis/byte, which is also less than the recommended.

Because there are two transactions that depend on each other being the problem here, there is not much that you can do. You can either wait for them to confirm, or ask a miner to confirm them for you.

For asking a miner, you can use this tool: https://www.viabtc.com/tools/txaccelerator/ or you can also contact the users Quickseller and macbook-air.
