I believe that the main reason why these anonymous coin created is not for avoiding taxes which is a grave mistake if you use them for that purpose and the consequences once they find out thay you're doing such practices. Even if in the future these anonymous coins will be under supervision I guess the government only able to supervise it through exchange and not directly considering the nature of its anonymous coin's blockchain.

With more KYC there wil be greater need for opaque ledger cryptocurrencies.
What governments do now is set regulations. Regulations will be more about how coins gets created then how they work.

I don't think that the governments can really stop any anonymous cryptocurrencies unless there are specific mandates, policies and regulations purposefully put into place that would stamp out any cryptocurrency to fiat conversions. That would really stifle the scene and people would start panic selling. Instead I believe organizations like the SEC, CFTC, the treasury departments and congress will each issue some sort of small amount of guidance on to to proceed lawfully within these sectors. The toughest part is to prevent the strangling of innovation while still maintaining balance and order.

All the anonymous cryptocurrencies (including Monero, Zcash, Deep Onion, Veil, Verge.etc) are facing issues of liquidity. Trading them in the exchanges (where KYC is enabled) is going to attract unwanted attention from the authorities. And there is not enough liquidity available in the DEX sites and P2P platforms to trade these currencies. The 24-hour trade volume for XMR used to be in the $200-300 million range. Now it has decreased to a fraction of that number.

With regards to anonymous coins, once a cryptocurrency is regulated, I do not think that it has a future in the public market since government wanted to trace everything and anonymous plays the exact opposite of that. They (anonymous coins) do have a future on the black market though.

A decentralized cryptocurrency and government regulation do not always mix well. Though almost impossible, there is still a chance that both can coexist without harming the other. It will be a difficult and long debate in how resolve this issue. But once we find the best answer, the industry of crypto will then enter a new era of successful market.

There is. Monero might have been delisted in some exchanges but look, it's still alive and one of the most known anonymous coin.
While community will need them they will have a future
Right, as long as there is a demand and people are using it there's a future that lies on it. But note it that many anonymous coins are becoming less popular today.

I think it's legitimate to use anonymous coins for personal use, not for larger parties, in my opinion it would be very risky if used in a larger party. First up and down the price cycle will certainly hurt the team. And the second is that there are many more bona fide coins for institutions or companies. But back to yourself and your strategy in dealing with situations like this.

I do not believe that cryptocurrency will be controlled under the government, it will be difficult, anonymous coins cannot be controlled by anyone because it is decentralized so that the coin will automatically run on its own without anyone controlling it.

No. Because under regulation, anonymous coins will surely lose their only edge - anonymity.
But my thought is that, it will seem like an open market where people will have choice to choose what they want. Coins like bitcoin has already made significant impact and will continue because many are looking for such freedom.

With the use of anonymous coins in the future, certain problems can really arise. Japan has already banned the circulation on its territory of such anonymous coins as Monero, Zcash, Dash. Surely other states will do the same to avoid the danger of using these coins for criminal purposes. It will be easier for states to ban them than to take risks, because they cannot control them at all. Of course, some people will try to avoid the prohibitions, and see what comes of it.

I'd say that without regulation they will thrive by themselves, because it is almost impossible for regulators and policymakers to completely shut off this industry as a whole when you have multiple independent decentralized blockchains out there that all offer anonymous transactions.
But with regulation, you're choking the growth of this sector by the very same means that it is currently flourishing by.

Some article says it's even faster than ethereum or litecoin. I think TPS is the least concern of someone who want to make anonymous payments. I also don't think monero will be as popular as other mainstream coins like bitcoin or ethereum but there will always be a strong demand for it and that will increase as regulation tightens.

What do you mean by Anonymous? Well, if you are referring for those coins that are still unknown or not popular, I think there will be a future for everything. Whether it is bad or good due to regulation or as you have said, supervision. Things have different perspective and we want to see the good result when they implement the regulation through the help of government agencies.

Yes they can exist with certain modifications and rules stated by the regulators but then again they need to accept and follow all the requirements of the regulators otherwise they may end up closing the project due to non compliance.

Really? I'm not sure if this will pursue cause probably many projects will not agree to this. They cant enforce as they please what they wanted to happen in crypto space. If this happened, then some will probably abort their ongoing projects, why? Of course some legit one prefer the decentralized approach and dont want to be handle by this smug that only goal is to impose an added tax for their benefit.

Anonymous coins are threat to the government, they can't have control over them and that is what these coins are created for, go dark with full privacy, this is their real use case and to be honest government destroys many lives in the past as we know it which is why I think privacy coins will always have a chance of survival

I do but that will be used by personality and will never be adopted institutional or companies. It has a bright future when it comes to the private usage to securing or store your money without the possibility for others to trace your coins or money. The anonymous tech will always exist even crypto will be brought under the government.

But, the demand is *usually* for bad thing such as money laundering, ilegal buying, etc
I think, goverment would never give this coin type to be develop. It can harm to many people

No, of course. Anonymous coins are anonymous coins. Take the anonymous from what, what is left? They are nothing. Their banner feature is its anonymity. That is what they market and promote, that is what people are interested about, and that is the main reason why people are using that particular coin. So if they lose that, they will become a useless coin. That is why they will never allow that. They will go dark most probably.

what makes you say crypto's are being regulated?i mean maybe one could argue that its been slowly happening for years, i could agree with that, but honestly?
it NEEDED it. Crypto has become something, i think like most things, thats NEEDS regulation. Years of lawlessness, has left many with a sour taste for crypto
People are scamming left and right, and there seems to be no established standards anywhere : / i never thought i'd welcome government involvement, but i kinda do : /
