+1 Msi afterburner is all you need

If you have really good card, you can use ATI driver to overvolt the card a little like on 6970 for example.

Hiya,

Ive seen recommendations to underclock the memory on the gpu cards, can i ask a) why would we do this?, and b) how we do this?

I can use the --od-setclocks= command, but the output shows i can only set the GPU Core to 500-950 and the Memory to 1375-1450 on my 6970 (This is a non-reference model, so i dont have the 2nd bios Sad, is this my problem?)

Thanks

Underclocking memory is believed to reduce temperatures on the card and does not affect performance as mining is not memory intensive. overclocking utilities (MSI afterburner for instance) should allow a deeper downclocking, but ymmv.
