i pay attention to qtum and asch, one is focused on mobile development, and the other is the side chain, both of the team are very reliable

WAVES is hugely unbelievably undervalued!!  I recommend people to get into the WAVES before they miss out on the beautiful surf!!

Yes, I do not think it makes sense if waves go undervalued, they are good coins lately.
Lately ? it show now a good value the only thing is it will be continue to rise in the future ,waves is not totally undervalue right now also the Ethereum so both is good to invest like bitcoins it will have a good value in the future. Hold it and secure properly .

you should learn how the market cap works, looking for "under 2$" coins make no sense

I know how the marketcap works, I should of stated a marketcap instead of a coin price good point.

The idea is i'm looking for coins that are platform based and not already very pricey. Any new or old projects that haven't had their time yet?

I'm not in this coin but I would say: QTUM is your best bet atm. Big chinese support.

I'm big into NEO, but you allready mentioned it.

Any undervalued platforms out there that are similar to ETH? (Smart contracts, ico launching, etc)

I'm looking for ones that are $2 or below...I'm aware of Stratis, NEO, WAVES, NEM, EOS, ARK

Any others?
You can check coss platform as well. It is on ico stage now and you can buy it cheap. It is also a platform that you can use multiple cryptocurrencies and token assets Wink And a good team with good potential.

Check QTUM. The price rose from $3 to $16 with the recent NEO hype, so there's that  Roll Eyes

The price of one coin really does not matter. What is important is marketcap and for investors the value of their investment is important not the number of coins they have.
