I made some research on Google play and was trying to see if I could get one to be used but found none. I even installed one of the Android version in my phone just now thinking that I would get the features in the pad or the phone but none. Well since you have said, the features can not be inserted to the forum software. I  close my request. But let PowerGlove and theymos look into it.

Just a suggestion

Seems Iphone already has this built into their keyboards. However, if you have a android you can take a look at some keyboard applications, and install one with a undo feature. I doubt they'll have redo features. I'd take a look at applications on f-droid. Probably, advisable anyway if you consider your privacy high priority.

Anyway, from the forum's stand point we've got the drafts page which has already been mentioned. Not sure how convenient that is to use on a phone, since I don't use a phone to post here. Otherwise, again use a word processor or a text editor on your phone, and utilize the redo/undo features on there. Markor is one open source text editor you can use. Obviously, take a look at the source yourself.

I doubt this feature would be implemented, since we already have the preview feature.

Base on the Subject, I have lost words, phrases, Clauses and sentences because I have not seen undo sign to reverse back the lost typographs or words. So I am trying to know if there is any symbol or tool for me to click to bring back the lost words.

I have not come across such function before or in tye past but i think the best way to enjoy this is while typing and you make preview of your write-ups and the continue typing, should in case you went offline to come back again and found it all gone before posting then you can recover them back by kust clicking on the draft botton under the typing space and check the last sentence you're typing, this help save your data while offline and also in addition, it depends on tue type of browser you're using, some retain your data while some doesn't when you're offline.

LoyceV on the road. Or couch.
What you're looking for is an OS feature, this shouldn't be part of the forum.
I miss it too sometimes on my phone though, and not only on Bitcointalk.

Some android keyboards have the same features laptops and desktops have where you can undo or redo but to be on a safer side, preview most often, so you can visit your draft to copy back your contents should in case it gets wiped off or your timeout get exhausted.

I had this issues in my early days on the forum until I discovered the preview option and use them mostly when I post with mobile phones. Preview helps save your work in a draft folder, and it gets deleted after 7 days, so you have enough time to revisit your draft and copy the content back to the thread or topic depending on it's use

Interestingly, I've never had your problems. And I post sometimes from the phone too.

You should keep in mind that the forum is not an advanced text editor, it's not Word or so (also making it so would most probably hurt the users who use Tor and stripped down browsers for the sake of their privacy).
Plus, on internet, it's not that unusual to lose your posts due to various errors and problems, it's not specific to this forum.
So it's you who has to learn and improve.

All this being said, the conclusions are:
* there's no need for the changes you proposed
* if you want to write larger text, consider using a software made for that job and then copy-paste it here
* whenever you post here, you should copy the whole post into clipboard before submitting/posting it, so you make sure all is safe. When your error ratio becomes very small, you can stop doing this.

99% of you are just referring me to draft page, that shows you don't understand my OP. Draft is where the work is saved when previewed or send. Let me use simple explanation, as I was typing a content, I mistakenly clicked refreshed, and the page reload automatically, and everything I have typed got lost. Or I mistakenly clicked delete and a part of the word or a phrase was deleted. Now I am asking how do I bring back the lost content? Content saved in draft if there is network failure not a deletd work while typing

Please understand me. I know draft and it is not draft I am talking about. Draft is different from what I am saying. Example. If I mistakenly delete Tintinbabulation, is there anyway I can bring it back with retyping it? If not, that why suggest I suggest the UNDO and REDO button.

Just an Idea

It often happens when I try to reply with my smartphone, fat fingers problem LOL. Roll Eyes

Unfortunately you can't recover the text when you hit the refresh or reload page in your browser by mistake so the only way is to retype everything is what you can do.

As precaution whenever you're creating a thread with long descriptions, images and multiple contents added with it, you can use notebook like apps before posting it on bitcointalk so you won't lose the words even if you closed the app by mistake, you can recover it at anytime until you delete it on your own after the confirmation okay click.

This forum isn't a real time website where it will record every letter you typed, this will require huge storage. Also this forum is using SMF model where it will be impossible if you want such kind feature, maybe an extension would work but it will harm your privacy and security.

However there's a development of new forum called as Epochtalk, maybe this could be an improvement for Epochtalk.

What if you're type your reply on Microsoft Word first before send to this forum? even your PC/Laptop is shutdown, it's still can recover the latest version.

No undo or Redo buttons.

Forum has a draft page.
theymos announced forum draft page in 2014. I made notes about some features of the draft page. Draft page - Pros & Cons.
Your posts are only saved in the page if you hit to either Preview or Post button. Furthermore it has limited time and number of posts saved in the draft page. It won't help you all times and other members gave you good advice to try using Copy and Paste more to save your post contents to Notepad, Word.

Completely fine for me to use this forum software. If you need to post a long thread just use your laptop so you can use CTRL+Z to undo the action if you mistakenly removes the content.

Honestly, I don't accidentally reload or erase my content while on my phone, but it happened to me once or twice while I am on my laptop because of the touch pad.

Base on the Subject, I have lost words, phrases, Clauses and sentences because I have not seen undo sign to reverse back the lost typographs or words. So I am trying to know if there is any symbol or tool for me to click to bring back the lost words. Specifically for phone. Because for laptop or desktop, You can press Ctrl + Z to bring back the mistakenly deleted words on the typing interface of bitcointalk but for phone, I have not seen such features, probably I don't know where it is, so if you know it, show it to me.

The ability to undo actions is a feature that is specific to individual applications, rather than being a part of the operating system itself. In Windows (or other desktop operating systems), the Ctrl-z keyboard shortcut is a common way to invoke the undo function, but this can vary depending on the specific app or website you are using.

I think most mobile devices have undo buttons built into their keyboards too. You can search this for the type of phone you have as I think it varies quite a bit.

.
In cases where you've hit refresh (or back?+), sometimes you can just go back again and reload the page (or go forward) and it might bring your post back - mine does quite a bit.

Sometimes it pains me when I suffered to type a very good thread and mistakenly refreshed the page, or clicked delete and everything that I have suffered to type were wipeout. With the anger in me I left the topic.

Let bring this feature  to the tools bar in the typing interface.
Keep suffering, you deserve it LOL
Bitcointalk is over 10 years old machine, the software we are using is one of the oldest forum software. The admin we have implements anything after minimum 2 years of interval (😉), people stopped begging for the new forum software after waiting for a decade but you don't know anything about it? You obviously deserve it.

Learn to use Ctrl+A then Ctrl+C before clicking any action button or reloading a page. Make it a habit.

Yep. For laptops or computers, we can deal with the problem by using Ctrl+Z. While for phone/smartphone, it will be a bit difficult since we are unable to use "Ctrl+Z".  Grin Why don't you copy+paste your post somewhere before you post it? I think it is easy to apply to any phone/smartphone. It is a very basic way, no need for any application. Even if it seems old-fashioned, it is easy to do and applicable.  Smiley

Usually I could get away with the Gboard's Clipboard feature in Android in these cases to avoid losing what I had typed especially when it is a long reply.
Wasn't this clipboard type used when the text was copied?

This happened to me as well back then; after typing everything you have in mind, you will end up losing everything with a single back or refresh of the page mistake, which is hugely annoying.
The keyboard clipboard I used can save text for up to an hour and can be pinned, but it must be copied before it can be saved.

You could use an app as well for this though I can't recommend any from my findings since I don't need it nor had used it before. Undo and redo feature in the toolbar is a bit unnecessary if you would ask me since there are apps for the phone that could do this stuff.

A recommendation of such an app would have been preferable because it would alleviate the stress of having to rewrite everything.

Use the Preview function instead. Every time you use the preview function, a copy of your post will be saved to your draft folder, which you can access here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=drafts
