from your explanation it looks like you were buying Weth instead of dexmex. can you show us the transaction id to figure out what is going on with it?
if you really bought dexmex, in your wallet it should show you dexmex instead of Weth.
you might be missclicked it? have you tried checking it on etherscan? what does it show you?

i just found out i had to manually add the coin by address to my wallet. all done Smiley

When you are wanna using ethereum on uniswap and your ethereum will be automatically converted into the Wethereum as it's needed to did a transaction in the contract use ethereum token.

I think that you should learn more about what the purpose of WETH on ethereum network

https://weth.io/

It's normal and when you wanna swap your ethereum into the erc20 on various swap service and your eth will be converted into the WETH before it will be swapped.

Hello!

I recently bought dexmex coin through my trust wallet android phone app via uniswap. I used coinmarketcap dexmex address they have to swap for my ethereum. I bought some dexmex and on my wallet it just says "wrapped ether". Is this normal ? How do I view my tokens ?

thank you for any help!

It seems Trust wallet can't identify the token so you may need to add the tokens Manually in your trust wallet or try to contact their support team for a better answer.

To know that you received those tokens successfully use etherescan to find the tokens are there or not.

It's only showing Wrapped Ether because eth was swapped into wrapped ether and than swappped into dexmex. If OP wants to see dexmex in trustwallet , than simple add custom tokens by submitting the contract address of dexmex into your trust wallet because new tokens won't be added into trustwallet automatically. Also, OP can use etherscan or ethplorer to search the eth address in order to see dexmex in the explorer. Hopefully, it'll help OP to get solution of that problem.  Wink

It's not normal because your wallet ought to show the DexMex(DEXM) not Wrapped Ether (WETH) which ETH native token means there's something wrong from your end and I will advise you to add the token to your wallet using their smart contract address (0x0020d80229877b495d2bf3269a4c13f6f1e1b9d3) etc.
Hope you understand the rick involve in altcoin investment.

Wrapped ether is a special type of ether
The should be no problem there
Try scanning the address used to receive the token on the scan to see the available dexmex token on the address

Never heard that coin nor encounter that issue but maybe the least you can do is to ask this question on Dexmex support since for sure they know the answer to your question. If you ask this question here maybe the answer you receive are unsure nor don't have sense.

So go to their social media platform for best result.

Maybe the pair of tokens you wanted to trade has wrapped ether paired. It's normal. You just need to used the dexmex contract address you used via coinmarketcap and copy it on the token list of your trust wallet dapp and it will show you the quantity of tokens on your wallet address.
