Agree, perhaps if they received multiple request/mail regarding that matter then they would consider support SegWit address. They should keep their role on bitcoin adoption as well.
It has been a while we have segwit but most of the services don't tend to implement it sooner. I guess most of the exchanges don't support segwit yet. Sending request or mailing them wouldn't work I guess. They have to have responsibility on this.

Seems OP disappear after 3 mins of create this thread, it's quite funny. Anyway most probably your problems related with SegWit address which you didn't noticed during genarate your Electrum. Better follow the instructions given by @BitMaxz and hope your problems will be solved.

And then do everyone a favour and send a message to Paxful support and tell them to implement support for SegWit addresses. It has been a long time since it was introduced, and forcing users into using Legacy wallets does not help adoption.

You have the same problem with this man
- https://www.reddit.com/r/Electrum/comments/buxyti/trying_to_send_btc_from_paxful_to_electrum/

Bench32 is not yet supported according to this below
- Can I withdraw bitcoin from Paxful wallet to my external wallet?

Only P2PKH and P2SH addresses are supported yet on Paxful. So OmegaStarScream is right you need to create a legacy wallet the "1" and "3" addresses are supported.

If you can't find or don't know how to create a new wallet check these images below.

To create a new wallet in Electrum wallet go to file>New/Restore

Then set up your wallet until this page below

Choose legacy then the wallet should be generated with P2PKH addresses start from "1" use that address to receive the Bitcoins from Paxful.

Are you using a segwit address (starts with bc1)? If so, then that's why you're getting an error. Create a new legacy wallet instead and try to withdraw again.

Hi there,

I am having problems with transferring my bitcoin from my Paxful wallet into my Electrum wallet.

When I try to transfer funds and send it to my Electrum wallet using the receiving address generated by Electrum of:

it says  “Unknown bitcoin address.” Huh

I have copied and pasted it exactly as it is on the Electrum wallet recieving address

Is there any help that you could suggest that would allow me to complete this transfer?

Any help would be most gratefully received.

Yours
