You can find them on bitcointalk announcement for altcoins. All things you need here. After launching for a while, those new coins will submit to be listed on several masternode statistics websites, like:
masternodes.online
mnrank.com
masternodes.pro
and so on.

The reason why I'm asking this is to help identify "gems in the rough". For example, I've already set up a Smartcash masternode, and I got to know about it from some Steemit article, not from Maternodes.online.

I wonder if there is a better way to find such coins.

how much payout you are getting?

Probably there are lots of masternode coins not listed anywhere, since someone creates one every other day. Most of them are doomed from the beginning, so not worth to know about them. Here is thread about MN coins if you are interested - https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/coins-with-masternode-1572363

Masternodes.online is becoming more and more a listing of many coins with masternodes that basically scams. You have to DYR, as always, but I get the sense that there is little to no due diligence from Masternodes.online on listing new coins there.

What are the coins that run Masternodes and that are not listed on Masternodes.online, or similar websites? How does one go about finding them?
