If I could be lent the .005 for the time needed to make my XYO accessible, I will withdrawl the BTC back to your address once done, then convert my XYO to doge (because the withdrawl fee of XYO IS 12,000 vs doge’s 10).

Have you noticed that  trade volume in pair with doge - zero in last 7 day and spread between buy and sell order equal tokens price 0.1-0.2.
Of course you can go a long way convert in btc (a little less spread and at least some volume ),and than in doge , but after all this manipulation you will be left with only crumbs .

Yep I just took notice of that too. Oh well, I appreciate everyone’s advice in this thread and attempt to help. I will bury this thread along with my coins and make better decisions in the future and stay away from YoButt Smiley

Not to put another nail in the coffin, but the screenshot you shared sayed that the BTC needs to be in the dedicated YL-Code wallet. Are we (you) sure that's the same wallet used for normal activity?

Not to think ill of people, but come on, it's YoBit we're talking about here, and asking you to deposit money to be able to get your money and further needing to deposit again so that you can access the BTC on that dedicated wallet is not something that would surprise me

Just checking in to see if there are any interested lenders, if not I will leave this post to die along with my coins  Tongue

Still waiting to hear back from YoBit since my original correspondence.

What is your backup plan if something goes wrong with Yobit and unlocking your XYO tokens? do you have any other way to repay that amount?
Also, do you know that is a withdrawal fee of 0.0012 BTC on Yobit? I guess if someone lends you Bitcoin, they will probably expect to get Bitcoin back, not altcoin or token.

In all honesty I would have to pay it back over a period of a month and a half. I would just budget my next three checks to pay back said lender. Based purely on the lackluster support I have received from YoBit I’m reluctant to even proceed (they haven’t replied to my message from the 9th).  This is accounting for worst case scenario of total loss, but under normal circumstances withdrawing the loan should not be an issue.

Yes, I am aware of the monster fee they charge. The logical option is to withdrawal with Doge or another reputable Altcoin — doge is only a 10 coin fee. If the lender wants BTC back I can withdrawal the Doge from Yobit and convert it with Changelly to their address for a nominal fee.

Maybe you don't know, but there is a possibility to transfer funds for free using youbicodes

I did a quick google for that and didn’t find anything, other than someone’s github repository… could you point me in the right direction?
My point, that if someone wants to  lend you and has an account in youbit, he can transfer btc for zero fee through youbcode, same way you can return back btc .
Here:  yobit.net/en/yobicodes/ you can create or activate youbicodes.

Very nice, thank you for the link. Now I just need to find someone who uses YoBit  Grin

Edit: XYO is up to .074 — My new intangible account value is $184  Cry

So it comes down to hoping someone will provide me a collateral-less loan and hail mary'ing BTC to YoBit in hopes they do what they said. Oy vey....

In any event if everything goes right, someone is going to profit nicely off of this lol.

Yeah… after this recent debacle I’m never using the site again. The only reason I did was because I was able to convert stormX and XYO with relative ease.

You’re not kidding lol, when they told me I had to deposit more funds to get my tokens out I was flabbergasted. I’m a network administrator by trade, I can confirm 100% legitimacy the Twitter handle and the website I’ve been communicating on are 100% Yobit.

I’m asking their support if there is any fee involved in this process.

Did you try to ask explanation in trollbox on their site? as far as I remember, there were a couple of their admins there regularly(placebo, or something like that), although more due to trolling and shill, maybe someone will be in the mood to give you direct answers.

Even if there is someone in the mood to answer properly, the best thing that you can get is a "contact our support" answer. Nothing more.
@OP: Since you manage to start a conversation with them, keep that open and try to do what they will instruct you and cross your fingers that it will succeed without changing their "requirements".

It’s pretty much praying at this point when I do deposit the BTC that they will do what they said. I would normally chalk this up to a loss but XYO’s increasing price every other week makes it more enticing.

Oh I had been trying there for weeks, it wasn’t until I commented on twitter that I actually got a human being to talk to.

Hi All,

Here’s my re-write. I have 2400 XYO locked in yobit because my funds are in cold storage: https://ibb.co/NtY1wtC

According to their support I need .005 BTC to unlock it. In theory all I need is someone to deposit it to my account, wait for Yobit to do their magic, then you get refunded + compensation. You would be getting it back in doge because that is their cheapest currency to withdrawal (only 10 doge). Looking to split 50/50 after fees!

there is no serious guarantee that you will still have all that coins/money in your hand. We talking here about Yobit one of the most controversial exchanges in crypto.
It sounds illogical to me, you need to deposit double the amount in BTC. Why? will they charge you a fee for that unlock?

btw. can you check if it's really their domain or maybe you're on a phishing site? the scam scheme is already widely known, where you need to deposit your money to enable withdrawal.

Hi all,

So to preface this I decided to xfer my 2400 XYO to Yobit account and they stated my funds are currently in cold storage. 0x5e2e24d70afa1bfb8d60c6f66f50c77b7c165e5b - here is said wallet I have been using.

According to YoBit support With .005 BTC, I would be able to unlock said funds. https://ibb.co/NtY1wtC — which I don’t have at the moment.

The current value of the XYO is $131
The withdrawl fee for bitcoin on their exchange is .0012 - about $79
(( 11/8/21 Edit: I had a shower thought to convert the BTC to doge, which would significantly lower the withdrawal fee and put more money in your pocket))

If I could be lent the .005 for the time needed to make my XYO accessible, I will withdrawl the BTC back to your address once done, then convert my XYO to doge (because the withdrawl fee of XYO IS 12,000 vs doge’s 10).

After it’s all said and done I would like to refund your BTC withdrawl fee and give $20 as credit towards helping. Hope someone is interested!

All the best,
Maxi

I’m cleaning this up in a reply to make it more concise.
