Dig around in CrazyGuy's Prisma sales threads. He's got a Minera image for the RPi that isn't terrible; I've had Prismas running with it in hosting for a while.
Ok thanks I'll have a look Smiley.

I've decided to try the adapter on a newly acquired raspberry pi model B instead of my pc, can anyone recommend software ( and ideally a link Wink ) for my tube please.

I've got some rare spare time to tinker over the next few days Smiley.

I have had a bit better luck with fewer errors with 4.7+ as well.
The adapters are working well.
 Cool

Mine arrived today in the UK, thanks very much Smiley.

To run my tube(s) from a Windows 7 pc can someone suggest which version of cgminer to use please.

You should be able to use either the custom 4.6.0 made by ASICMiner, or anything 4.7.0 or newer.  I tested both that 4.6.0 and 4.7.1, I think newer version might be getting a bit better at identifying errors but both ran about the same.

Let me know how windows 7 works for you, XP ran the prisma like shit- expect about 1/2 hour between crashes.  This was tested using a real ASICMiner adapter too, not one I made, so I assume it was drivers.  A lot of people get RPis to run their gear on for this reason.

Ok great thank you. Are you running from a pc or rpi?

I've used both.  Didn't have any trouble except with windows XP.

Excellent work.
I have one up and running on a Prisma right now. Works well.
Thanks for developing these.

Glad to.  I was goofing around with tubes right after they came out and was disgusted with the BE controller.  But since the Prisma came out and the cgminer drivers exist, it is just a matter of getting a USB-UART that will work.

I guess people are starting to get these, so here's how to hook them up.  You can use the cable that comes with your prisma/tube, you don't need the cable in the bag.  That's only if you need an extension.

Use all three middle pins, do not use either end pin on the adapter.  Plug it in so that the plastic keys on the cable are down.  I tested all of the adapters before shipping so if you have any problems give me a reasonably detailed description and I'll see if I can figure out what's up.

Just to update, I got everyone's orders out Friday.  A couple were first-class overseas so unfortunately no tracking, but rest assured if you paid, it was shipped.

Hi do you ship to the UK? If so I'd like to buy from you please Smiley.

I can ship to the UK.  PM me for details, shipping cost will depend on how many and how fast you want them.

I just finished testing more than enough to ship to everyone else though, so they can ship tomorrow, if paid.

Good news everyone!  You're now hearing me talk in Professor Farnsworth's voice.  Also, the UART adapters came in, so I'm going to work them up.  My goal is to get them out to everyone who paid no later than Friday.  There are still some left if you are interested.

I successfully reverse-engineered the USB adapter for the ASICMiner Tube/Prisma (also the rockminer T1).  If you need some but are having trouble getting hold of an ASICMiner-manufactured one, I'm doing a small batch of them.  Depending on when parts arrive, I will be shipping them out some time between December 13th and December 26th, at a price of $4.50 each plus shipping (paypal or BTC accepted).  Most items I will just ship in a padded envelope, but if you order more than about five or specifically ask I'll put them in a small box for you.  Each USB-UART adapter will be hand assembled and individually tested to ensure that it works.  The pins on the unit should plug directly into the Tube/Prisma UART cable, although it will NOT be keyed.  Stock is pretty limited at first, so you can wait until I have them in hand to buy but I can't promise you I'll have any left.

Here's the prototype:

The development thread is here, for those of you who would rather DIY: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/diy-tubeprisma-usb-adapter-from-usb-blockerupter-857048  If you want to make your own but have questions, don't hesitate to ask, this is more about building stuff and helping people get good controllers than making the odd buck.

If interested, PM me or email [email protected]
