Topic: Unrealized mistake and unban reaquest @theymos and mods (Read 414 times)

I always try my best to obey the forum rules and respect the value of the community. I am addicted to bitcoins, WO is my home (I missed the 500,000^th post celebration yesterday due to this ban, for us WO brothers - it's quite an achievement), I do walk around in most of the sections of the forum but mostly in WO and gambling sections. In gambling section, my interest is Football especially EPL (as I already said that I am a big fan of Liverpool, a die heart fan if you ask precisely, the day Liverpool lose or draw a match - I find myself in a mental position that I am pissed off with the entire world).

I consider myself fairly known to the forum rules and regulations. I also know that altcoin giveaway is not allowed in some sections but never educated myself about the specifications of identifying an altcoin giveaway because I have no interest in altcoins (although I have some very small holding of NEO and ETH).

I have had no idea that, the said topic falls into the category of altcoin giveaway and it was also the said section where altcoin giveaway is not allowed. It was very simple and easy mistake from me. I saw a Predictor Bounty Campaign (please emphasis Bounty Campaign) and it's about Liverpool (My team!) so I did not have 2nd thought to tell them that my team will win(obviously it was more sentimental, usual thing a fan does, isn't it) and you all already know that I had no intention in the prize of bounty campaign or altcoin giveaway.

Back to emphasized phrase "Bounty Campaign"
As I said I never educated myself to identify an altcoin giveaway - I see altcoin bounty where they offer signature campaign, joining telegram, posting in Facebook etc etc work to get the altcoins. Even after this unfortunate event, still I am failing to understand how it's different from altcoin bounty campaign. In the said seer topic, they asked for joining telegram campaign like altcoin bounty does. It still seems a "Bounty Campaign" to me LOL. What am I missing, still? It will be helpful if someone comes forward and find me some difference (although I will lock this topic after this post since the topic already served it's purpose. Please feel free to create a new topic regarding this new discussion). I really need to focus on learning about this altcoin giveaway things since I do post fairly much in other sections. I do not want to do the same mistake because of lack of the knowledge and face a situation like this.

Being in a signature campaign is a privilege and I feel privileged promoting sites like sportsbet and bitcasino. I have been promoting these two sites from long time now and jeremypwr is an excellent campaign manager, not to mention you are one of them too. You gave me the chance to be in your Bitsler campaign and also grant me a day so that I could complete my week with sportsbet. I don't know the status of my current spot with sportsbet since I informed (before the ban) jeremypwr that I was leaving him. I will confirm with jeremypwr and if he still has my spot empty then I will stay with him (if he still considers me of course) for the time being.

I was the mod who issued the SEER ban. While I was on the fence (due to you mentioning you weren't interested in fulfilling all of the bounty requirements), the fact that the OP included you in the winner's list is what pushed me to include you among the other banned participants. Looking through your post history as well as considering the aforementioned circumstances, it does seem like a ban is a bad fit for this situation. Unbanned. In the future, do try to avoid posting semi-entries in giveaway threads that give out altcoins, even if they've been posted in the wrong section.

I found the thread you posted in, and the OP of the thread.

The thread in question was located in the Altcoin Bounties section as of three days ago, but I am not sure if it had been moved after you posted in the thread. I found another SEER giveaway that was located in the Games and Rounds section.

Looking at your post history (the last two pages), it is apparent you have an interest in European Football (aka soccer), and have made multiple posts in prediction threads. I do empathize with your situation, however I also must acknowledge you did break a rule.

With that being said, there is a warning about posting in altcoin giveaway threads in the Altcoin Bounty sub, that specifically warns that those posting in these types of threads may be banned. If the thread was in the altcoin bounty sub when you posted in it, I think the response from the mods will be that you were warned about possibly being banned. On the other hand, if the thread was in the Games and Rounds sub when you posted in it, I think it would be reasonable to say you had a genuine interest in the topic, and that you discovered the thread browsing other threads that you also have a genuine interest in, and that a reduction in your ban duration would be appropriate, possibly to one or two days to account for the fact that your post was likely motivated by your interest in the topic, and not the giveaway. 

I can't tell you if you're correct in your assumption that posting in that thread was the reason you got banned as I don't have the specifics, however theymos would have likely already seen this thread as well as the global moderators. Probably the one that issued the ban themselves. If the ban hasn't been lifted then its probably best to just wait out the ban, and ask for clarification through personal message when you've been unbanned. You're obviously allowed to appeal your ban though.

Yeah, that does suck.  So if I'm understanding this correctly, the thread that you weren't supposed to post in (because it violated forum rules) was trashed.  When did it get trashed?  Is this an old offense that just got reported, or did it just happen?

Anyway, it's a good thing that your ban is only for 10 days.  Could be worse, but I know it might affect your status in Yahoo62278's campaign.  But if he accepted you into it, my guess is that at the very worst someone will drop out in the first week and you can probably get your spot back if he doesn't hold it for you.  You're a good member of the forum, so I'm pretty sure there won't be any hard feelings against you.

Sorry that you got banned for 10 days.

It was suppose to be a great day for me. I woke up and logged into my account to change my signature and avatar for Bitsler Signature campaign as Yahoo accepted me two days ago for the free spot he had. Since I had only one day to finish my current week with Sportsbet I asked him the time and told him that I will wear sig today (Monday) as soon as I will be online. But I had no idea that a shock was on my way. I logged in and saw this 😨

I remember (if I am not wrong) in the premier league match between Liverpool and Arsenal (round 3) they had a prediction prize to predict the winner. I am a big fan of Liverpool (Regular in EPL thread, EPL pool by hilariousandco and also in WO) and I knew that Liverpool will win so I simply posted my prediction that Liverpool will win. They had this conditions that user will need to join their Telegram channel and sign up with their site. I did not bother and in my post I was saying that I do not care about the prize and joining their telegram and website but since I am a Liverpool fan I am leaving my prediction in the topic.

Later I won and the topic creator quoted me saying to claim my prize. I responded saying that I will join later since I did not find any motivation to join them (I was not serious about the prize. Who cares about some unkown tokens).

That was it, if I recall correctly. I was just posting as I post in a topic I find interesting. I did not have any clue or idea that I was violating a forum rule. There were no talk about this seer community things at all like we see for other controversial events in the community. When I was posting my prediction it did not seem (I mean I did not realize) to be a altcoin giveaway topic, I can not even recall in which board it was (most probably it was in gambling section).

I hope it's understandable that from my part it was a mistake that I made without realizing it, I did not have any intention to get some coins too. Can I request for a review against the ban to theymos and possibly global moderators or moderators whoever has the access to unban the account considering the situation when I posted in their topic?
