Dont know, i'd advise looking up the PCI-E specs when messing with an expensive computer/gfx card.

I modified each of the four flexible PCIe extenders to re-route the five 12V lines (PCIe pins A2, A3, B1, B2, B3) to a single 16AWG stranded wire directly connected to one of the 12V outputs of the power supply.

Here is the prebuilt product from cablesarus, with BTC accepted

In this website it say it re-routed 5 12v lines...

http://pinouts.ru/Slots/pci_express_pinout.shtml

Reroute 12v from PCI-E to draw from molex.

But from this chart you can understand that there are only 4 12v lines
A2 A3 B1 B2
B3 is Reserved and not 12V ...
Soo do I also re-route him or not? thank you.

The thing i dont understand is, 1000000A is being sucked in via molex but has to exit through the PCI lane, why dont people modify the negative?

just pin 2 running to 12v in a molex connector is all you need?

Got a bunch of 1x extenders and don't want to wait to get some ones w/ molex from cablesarus

wasn't able to use my 3rd 5830 in a p5w DH.  I'm sure i'll have bigger problems trying to get 3x 5830 & a 5870 running in my 939 lanparty board

Im getting stable speed of 441Mh/s on a 5870 using a pci-e x1 to x16 extender (the extender has a molex to get the energy from the PS directly and not from the motherboard, got it at cablesaurius).

Hello,
I have a pc with 2 5850,  1 PCI-e x16 and 1 PCI-e x 1
And I'm experiencing unstable speed on the PCI-e x1
Anyone know what could be the reason for this??

bolth of the cards are overclocked 850,900  and one is stable on 320MH/S and the second one the PCI-Ex1 is going up and down between 260 to 320...
Anyhelp will be great thank you
