Then there's Hero Token (which I'm pretty skeptical about) for the Philippines that is pretty unique. A completely online pawn shop complete with people coming to pick up the item you want to pawn off for you.

For example, completely decentralized banking networks specifically for Mexico (I currently live here) would not only solve tons of issues but can actually take off.
