I think current btc bull run will not stop before the segwit2x on november but alts price might not dip further in terms of fiat. Its best time to buy alts with fiat and with bitcoin because soon we might have really big altcoin wave like we have seen many times before when bitcoin corrects from huge pump like the current one.

Alt coins are undervalued at the moment. Some investors might be nervous about buying bitcoin at it's all time high and might feel an alt investment is safer, more upside and less downside risk (because they're already very cheap).

Cheap in BTC, expensive in fiat.

Alts offer a greater percentage rise if you are trading. A $200 move in bitcoin is just 3%, less after you have taken out the trading fees.

But you can easily get a 20% gain on an alt or much if you accumulate at the low points. That's why we might see an alt bull run - there is more of a potential for gains.

This is the trend I noticed in the whole market, if Bitcoin goes up, some altcoins are left behind or go down in price. If Bitcoin goes down, most altcoins go down with it leaving some to stay flat or rise small.

The best outcome for altcoins is for Bitcoin to be stable in a price range giving them the opportunity to catch up.

100% this. If you've monitored BTC over the last year, you'll know that a BTC correction is bad for all coins - it's worse for alts than BTC. Alts only grow in stability - BTC pumps, people jump on the bandwagon and sell their alts. BTC falls people lose confidence in cryptos and again pull out of alts. Stability is key to growth - if you're hoping for a massive alt bull run amidst a BTC correction you're going to be sadly mistaken.

Follow me for the upcoming altcoin bull run. BTC is clearly on wave 5 which a nice ABC correction should shortly follow, sparking a massive altcoin bull run as it is the better way to hedge in a downfall by stacking more BTC, as opposed to fleeing to fiat. https://www.tradingview.com/u/Papou/

Lol yeah, a bull run...
You're a bit exactly at the opposite of what seems to be the reality xD
You got to see the current alt trend! That's aaaaaaaaaaaaall the way down! ETH is at -5% and it seems to be one of the best health atlcoins.

Some are theorizing about a segwit2x hardfork that ends up being very dramatic for bitcoin, pushing holders into altcoins while the situation resolves. Im not sure about this. Why would you put your money into altcoins? they are less safe than bitcoin under segwit2x's attack and any other attack. Altcoins could be frozen due no hashrate, could get delisted, could also crash... there's no safe haven.

Who knows, maybe Litecoin saves the day again during this hardfork crisis. I can't wait for November to be over so we can enjoy Bitcoin whitou stupid big blockers.

Altcoins have to suffer in both the situations like if the bitcoin is growing rapidly or falling at same speed.
Are you sure that with the bitcoin correction the altcoins will going to rise rapidly? Because we haven't seen any such thing in the past, BTW May be few of them will be able to rise a bit but not all of them.

...
as it is the better way to hedge in a downfall by stacking more BTC, as opposed to fleeing to fiat.

these are two things that i do not agree with at all.
first we have seen many times that whenever bitcoin has any correction altcoins follow it down. meaning they will have a bigger drop.

second, altcoins are never a better hedge than fiat. if you want to go out, go out to fiat. ALWAYS. altcoins are better tools for the times when they are getting pumped not generally.

We had seen this before and seeing it again is remarkable, All Time High is what people expect for bitcoin to engage but for some Altcoins that are always left behind I think Altcoins doesn't stand a chance against bitcoin's Bullish rush, but I think if we can see a correction and bitcoin would start to go back down I think some Altcoins would start to climb up a little, but we can see a great trading partners of bitcoin and that is Altcoin for sure.
