Well, BFL has stated they intend to have all current back orders fulfilled in September.
September, you say? It will be AMAZING if KNC miner will deliver their asics before BFL

KNCminer dislike damned delays. So why the founder has to mention company used? As the company used to design something close to the nature. Although at the moment, the both parties have many things to follow up. I hope the kncminer can kick the bad ass.

No power supplies (So I had to use some of the 50 left over from GPU mining lol) But i did get 5 BLF mugs. They did ship 5 separate packages, which would [somewhat] explain the extremely high ($200 per unit) Express shipping charge.

All 5 units are hashing away happily, hovering right at 300GH/s for the set.

They're definitely noisy, but built so much better than the FPGAs, I had to take those things apart, flip fans, replace fans, add fans, this has really good air flow, plus the flow having an intake and exit on the polar ends really helps not recirculating hot air.

Crazy that #1685 is just shipping now. I think the numbers started at order #1650. Thanks again for this update so I have some clue as to when mine will arrive.

Just looked and saw that mine was marked "FPGA Pending". It is an October 2012 order though so I'm sure it has quite a way to go before shipping.

I shipped back my FPGAs last Friday and today my orders switched to Status: FPGA Pending. Not sure if that status means they are waiting on my FPGAs to change ASICs to production, or if they just changed it because they received my FPGAs. To me that status makes me think they are waiting on my FPGAs, even though they already have them. I am confused lol.

Edit:
any idea if FPGA Pending means you are waiting on my FPGA? my orders just switched to that but i already sent em back
<+BFL_StevenM> Morb, it means that. And yes, some people's status got clobbered when one of the devs ran a script to set FPGA Pending on a lot of orders.
<+BFL_StevenM> Supposedly fixing a few is easier than running more specific script.  /-:

Congrats. My order # is in the 14,000s  Sad

If I actually get it by August/September, I would be delighted. I think the odds are probably 50/50 though...

Man, I wish I had paid earlier now =( I had to go wire the money and it took me a while to get to the bank while it was open.  Dammit.  Didn't have nearly enough BTC to pay in bitcoins at that time.  Hopefully there aren't that many orders ahead of me

Did they go to production when you traded in your FPGAs, if you did? thx

Yes, the status changed to "production" after I sent in my old FPGA's for trade-in.  I also have an early order.

Did you also received a mail when they changed into production state or did you just notice it by looking by ?

For me, I didn't receive an email when it changed.  I just noticed when I logged into my account.

Production means nothing. There is a parts shortage at BFL. Orders shipping out have slowed due to this. Could be a month or more before they start building again.

Speaking of selling BFL products...

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Butterfly-Labs-ASIC-8-24-GH-s-Jalapeno-Bitcoin-Miner-IN-HAND-NOT-PRE-ORDER-/171061799365?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item27d413e9c5

This can't be serious.  US$3850 for a product anyone can get within a few months if they order today.  I would bet an 8Gh/s Jalapeno at that price wouldn't ever pay for itself either when rising difficulty is considered.

Still better alternative then old price for USB erupters or blades.

So you think someone who orders today could get their Jalapeno in a few months?

How many is a few?

Well, BFL has stated they intend to have all current back orders fulfilled in September.

Yes, I know.   Smiley Wink Cheesy Grin Lips sealed  Cue the laughter soundtrack at BFL timelines and promises.  But anyway, anyone who knows about bitcoin difficulty, the current companies shipping ASICs and the effort to build many more must surely know generating US$3850 from 8Gh/s is fanciful.  Maybe someone has plugged in the hash rate and difficulty into an online calculator and figured they will pay off their unit in 7 months.   Cheesy   I guess there's a sucker born every minute and if I can find one I'd unload my Jalapenos onto them at that price.
