What a nice way to end your self congratulation post, it's has been long since I saw such type of post on the forum. I thought people no longer celebrate their ranking up on the forum. We shouldn't discourage user from celebrating themselves as it serve as a motivation to users like us with lower rank to improve on our writing qualities and someday we'll be celebrating our very our ranking up.

I don't know how much longer it will take for me to reach 500 merit as the final requirement to advance to Legendary rank. But in the meantime I'm close to reaching senior rank if I start at 0 merit and it's so good for me. I haven't got a feel for how that rank is achieved as long as this merit system exist, but at least I'm going through the process of getting there. BIT-BENDER, you deserve this and I want to congratulate you on this success. I'm sure if you can achieve it in less than 2 years, then I can do it too. It will surely bloom in time.

If we assume that rank up is difficult then I'm sure someone will find it difficult to achieve it and keep complaining about merit and rank. But if we consider it easy, then there is a stimulus in the form of motivation to keep trying to improve ourselve and posting from day to day until that rank is achieved. Something we say and complain repeatedly can cause our mindset and habit to change, this will be a valuable lesson to motivate ourselve to do our best. If hundred to thousand of other users can earn merit and rank, why can't we? What I have just learned upon getting into my desired rank is that somehow there is a possibility that keeping your knowledge and honing your skills is a lot difficult to make your rank more worthwhile.

Its not the last or highest in the forum but should you have been aiming at ranks and it means much to you, of course it pretty much means something to everyone if we are to be true to ourselves but, the bench mark of the ranking profile is at the Hero rank. I think it will be good if emeritus is used, like after legendary will be emeritus legendary just to quality the legendary rank that has contributed very well. There are some members with over 1000 activities before that were automatically ranked legendary that are not fit to be called legendary, this emeritus title will really indicate how some legendary members have really contributed after attaining legendary rank which will be a honorary title.
