And this is a 100% safe way to do it. Ne coins can get lost in the process or for any other reason?

It is definitely 100% safe.

When uninstalling the application, all your are doing is.. to uninstall the application.
To spend your coins, you need the correct private keys. These private keys are derived from the seed, which is stored inside of the nano s.

If you uninstall / install an application, the nano s always derives your private keys the same way. Therefore you can uninstall them as often as you want, wipe your nano s or set up a new nano s with your mnemonic code to be able to access all of your coins again.

All you need to make sure to never lose access to your coins, is to have a backup (or multiple) of your 24 word mnemonic code.

Simply connect the device to Ledger Live, select "Manager", follow the instructions regarding unlocking and allowing Ledger Manager access...

Then delete the BTC, ETH and Stellar apps from within Ledger Manager. (Click the trashcan button).

Once the are all removed, simply reinstall each one by clicking the Install button in Ledger Manager

Removing and reinstalling the apps on the device will not cause you to lose any coins.

In fact, as long as you have the 24 word recovery seed mnemonic (and any added BIP39 passphrase), you can wipe the device completely and still recover all your coins... As you'll be able to restore the seed that ALL you wallets are derived from.

and you can start with any app.
That isn't strictly true... You have to install BTC before you can install any BTC derivatives (DOGE, LTC, BCH, BTG etc)... And there are ETH derivatives that require the ETH app installed before you can use them.

There is a list of BTC and ETH dependent apps here: https://support.ledger.com/hc/en-us/articles/360021026973-Smaller-Ethereum-app-now-available-in-Manager

Thank you for the suggestions Lucius!
So to sum up. I should uninstall all three apps first (BTC, ETH and Stellar). After that install them each one by one, starting with the BTC app?
And this is a 100% safe way to do it. Ne coins can get lost in the process or for any other reason?
Sorry for asking, I just never did that before.

No coins will get lost and you can start with any app. http://prntscr.com/nnh7pk (Source: https://support.ledger.com/hc/en-us/articles/360006523674-Install-apps-on-your-device).

The procedure is very simple, just remove old apps and install new one. To do that you only need to use Ledger Live manager, for removing and for adding new apps. It is important that you always remove all apps that depend on BTC (BCH, LTC, and similar) before you can remove BTC app. When you adding apps always install BTC first, and then add ETH. Ledger is fix ETH app in size, so now you can have more space for other apps.

I have a Nano S with three apps installed. Bitcoin, Ehtereum and Stellar.
I have not used my Ledger in a few months and I noticed that several of the apps in Ledger Live are never versions compared to what is shown on the device itself. For example the newest Bitcoin app on Ledger Live is 1.3.9 but I have an older version installed on my Nano S.

How do I securely update the apps to prevent issues on my wallet?
