Hey man,

I just built an nvidia rig. All 1060s. And one of them died within seconds. So I have a 1070 in its place. The rig runs fine with no issues. Ive also done a really mixed card rig on AMD before with a 290x, a few RX 4/500's, and a Vega 64. That rig had some stability issues. But the mixed card rig on nvidia that I just built hasnt had a problem at all.

Any idea of where youre going to buy the cards?

The challenges I see is that, how to manage the 12 GPU's worked flawlessly, though I seen some users able to get this done and in Youtube, however this is a bit uneasy thing to do, depends on hardware do you have starting with motherboard, PSU, Risers, memory. one thing, we are in a GPU shortage right now, you will be lucky enough to get these GPU's in a fairly price.

I'm running 1x1070 1x1070ti et 2x1060 3gb on the same rig, never had any problems.  Wink

But buying new gpus right now, at least in the usa isn't a good idea.

Hi all,

what you guys think would be best; mining rig with mixed GPUs (GTX 1070 + GTX 1080 Ti) or would be more simple to run without issues (drivers conflicts etc) with only 1 model of GPU (all GTX 1070). I am looking to buy 8 new GPUs for my mining rig which would make me a mining rig of 12 GPUs running on Win10 x64.

Any suggestions would be very appreciated.

Thanks.
