You can be right that responsive correspondence of the forum users is best suitable using the above PCs other than the smartphones.
Hence I've also testified it that I don't have the inconvenience experiences while using the PC and besides, I can also testified it that PCs has more convince views than the phones.

And the middle ground among these two would be tablets  Cheesy

I have a budget tablet I mainly bought for entertainment and light admin tasks but I've been liking browsing the forum from it. My biggest gripe about using smartphones would be the small screen and my 11 inch buddy solves this. I do have a laptop which is portable compared to a desktop but I find tablets more convenient to bring with me esp when traveling most likely because it only weighs less than 400g lol.

I logged in my account on both PC and my Android, I never had any issues like you mentioned ever since I registered here which was long time ago and the screen refresh rate was not 120 Hz so it's something on the user end for sure cause even I tried on my secondary device where no such issue exists.

So my advice is to try it on another device and if still exists then let us know.

So who else experiences this same upwards and downwards scrolling complain?
Honestly it's unlike it used to be. Although I don't experience it while using the mouse with my laptop.
And I don't experience this outside the forum.
I have been here since 2021 and I never faced such an issue although sometimes it gets a little hard for me to navigate on the smartphone but I did not see any king of lag or gitter or any other kind of mis behaviour while scrolling up or down. And AFAIK if scrolling down is working fine then scrolling up should be working fine as well. Maybe you are seeing this problem due to some other reason, like the nature of the browser, or internet connection, or cache problem. I am using Google browser and it worked very nicely and smoothly.

I will also try to ask from my local community if any of them has faced this issue then I think its a legit case on some of the devices. It should be a cache problem or browser problem. It can't be website issue as far I know its not javascript based.

Personally I think the forum scrolling is fine. The forum was initially not created to be used on a mobile phone since it is even obvious that the viewpoint was made for a PC. The forum is more responsive when making use of a laptop or desktop and even on good mobile phones that can adapt to the viewpoint via a responsive desktop mode.

The reason why some members here use their smart phones is because they are frequently online and can't carry their pc about most of the time. Though I have noticed some users like philipma1957 has hardly made a post with a mobile phone screenshot.

In my experience of using the forum on my smartphone, it wasn't really doing some kind of delay, It seems fine to me, it was already very smooth, and I don't have any problems navigating scrolling upward and downward.

For me, the main issue with smartphones is the size of the screen, other than that it would just depend on the user's preference if they prefer using a computer or a smartphone both have their advantages and disadvantages.

Probably the main issue can be on the smartphone that you are using having that kind of weird movement or delay, or maybe 120 Hz, or depending on the refresh rate of your smartphone there will always be the difference in how smooth it is going to be, try using other smartphones to check if it is doing that kind of problem as well.

Over a amonth now while being in the bitcointalk forum, I've observed that using smartphones to scroll upwards while in the forum has some delaying functions that it doesn't enable scrolling smoothly especially when opened a thread and zooms the texts while scrolling downwards moves smoothly and efficient.
I did not have these issues like you: scroll up and down, zoom in the texts.

My issue is I don't like typing one smart phones with small screens and it's harder to type, to quote, to trim quote. If I have a computer, a laptop to use, I will use it and won't use my smart phones for typing, making my posts.

Some versions for mobile reading but wap2 is what I like the most.

Please specify;
1. Which browser are you using?
2. Where exactly is the scrolling unsmooth? On the main page (index page) or Topic page?

I have tried it out on my old mid-range mobile phone and everything seems smooth, though I don't think the forum is optimized for mobile phones.

I also suggest you upload a screen recording to streamable.com and then share a link here to help us understand what exactly you are experiencing.

So who else experiences this same upwards and downwards scrolling complain?
I use my phone to access the forum from time to time and I don't remember experiencing any lagging/delay when scrolling up or down.

For clarity sake, I enquired from some forum members and they agreed to encounter the same thing. Meanwhile I thought it was my phone screen sensor problem.
have you tried clearing the cache on the browser you use on your phone? it can sometimes cause lag when using it or perhaps it has something to do with your internet connection. I am sure there might be other reasons that might have caused the delay you are experiencing but these two are what comes up on the top of my mind.

Lightning network is good with small amount of BTC
Scrolling up and down on this forum is smooth. If your phone is having 120 Hz refresh rate and you set it, you will really enjoy it better. I have no issue while scrolling up or down. Everything is working normal.

But there are sometimes but which a not common when the forum pages wouldn't have loaded well or take some seconds than usual and longer, this can cause issue. If I am experiencing something like that, I change to VPN which makes the forum load well and faster. Later I can change back to IP address if I want.

I haven't experienced that before; if not for the fact that you said you asked friends, I could have also suggested and argued that it's from your gadget or the browser that you're making use of.

If mobile is your issue, I will suggest you move over to desktop usage if you have access to it; it's easier to navigate the forum from there.
