when was the last time you made a backup to it?  you could try making a update to your online backup first like adding a small txt file or jpg and then attempt download it again may could allow you download the whole thing without error.


Its updated every day, usually around 1 gig.  That takes 4 hours or so.  My upload speed is much slower than my download speed.  I understood that restoring from an incremental backup would take a little longer.  But thought I could get by not having a local backup.

1) Please try disabling SSL encryption:

Click Start -> Run and type in regedit to open Windows Registry Editor;

Browse to:

- Windows 32 bit: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Acronis\Encryption\Server
-Windows 64 bit: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Acronis\Encryption\Server

Rename the Server subkey to Server1.

2) Please reduce the network connection speed in Default backup options (Default backup and recovery options -> Default backup options -> Backup performance)

This option is available when a location on the network (network share, managed vault or an FTP/SFTP server) is selected as the backup destination.

The option defines the amount of network connection bandwidth allocated for transferring the backup data. By default the speed is set to maximum, i.e. the software uses all the network bandwidth it can get when transferring the backup data. Use this option to reserve a part of the network bandwidth to other network activities.

You may want to update the build, I am not certain if the issue is addressed in the new build at this point, however it is generally a good idea to be up to date.

Its been running for 12 hours, is stuck on 44%.  Has over 500 MB and 1000 files in the folder its recovering to.

Its now stuck on one text file, getting an error consistently every 5-7 minutes for the last 2 hours:
"The operation was interrupted due to a problem with network connection to the required file"

Theres more but the tech support guy Ive been talking to for the last 3 hours is in there now, so dont want to interrupt him.

I'll reward helpful suggestions, if it leads me to recovering my files.

Hello

There is an option to limit the use of CPU and bandwidth.

Maybe you have a restriction there.

Try editing.

Not Bitcoin related but I thought this was the best place to ask for help and offer a Bitcoin reward.
I will pay 2 Bitcoins to any kind soul who can help me figure this out in the next 2 hours.

I'm trying to recover from an Acronis online incremental backup.   Its a 800+ MB folder with over 2000 files.  Acronis says its gonna take 5 days!  Ive been talking to Acronis Tech support all day.  They've said it should take 2-4 hours.  Now its crunch time, and I'm desperate.
