Hello

- I already made this bet
- I didn't supply an email address
- I added a one-time payout address which I cannot get back

Question: will I not get the rewards for this, at all?

Or, this is a room for improvement on your part: I got a transaction ID, it would be logical for you to use that for rewards. Then, maybe I can get my rewards. Thanks.

Hi manicminer,

Thanks for betting at DirectBet Smiley

I didn't find Dbs answer too clear . I usually just email their support with a BET id with the payout to the same address I usually use and they just credit the milestone reward to that bet id .

Hi Twipple,

Thanks for betting at DirectBet and for being our VIP Member Smiley

Our VIP Rewards Program is now fully automated, so if you prefer you can also redeem your VIP rewards automatically and apply it to any of your bets, even during in-play betting (without emailing support).

Funny how everyone predicted a yes. Even went so far as to say that 1.49 odds are good for yes.

The time is the event start time (when betting turns in-play) and it is based on the time zone of your computer.
It is a multi-day bet, and you feature a single time stamp, without a date.

Hi manicminer,

Thank you for your questions.

If there is no date it means that the event is taking place Today (there is no date shown for Today's events).

That's the way it is for all events at DirectBet. In this case the vote is taking place today and that's why the date is not shown.

Regarding the odds, I am sorry but unfortunately I can not provide that information.

Thanks again !

OK, we still have time 'til the evening, which site gives me the best odds if I want to bet on the YES on today's Greek referendum? I only want to bet - as for today - on the referendum, no Grexit, and such.

Hi manicminer,

Thank you for your question.

Both options are available now : Greece Bailout Referendum

If you can't find a particular bet selection it means that we temporarily do not have odds for it, as was the case here. When that happens please try again later.

What algorithm do you use do calculate odds? Btw, your site is not clear about when is the deadline to place my bet. I though it was today, 6 AM, but it seems it is still open.

http://www.directbet.eu/Event.cshtml?EventID=27478353

Now the site shows 4:00 (4 AM? - what is this?) and that it is a one-way street, I can only vote for the NO, but not for the YES!? What kind of bookmaker are you?

Oh, and BetMoose has this one, as well: https://www.betmoose.com/bet/greek-will-vote-no-in-referendum-1201

And we have Fairlay: https://www.fairlay.com/predict/registered/new/greece-referendum-will-result-in-a-yes-1/

And Predictious: https://www.predictious.com/politics/greek-bailout-referendum

I have to add, BetMoose, Fairlay and, Predictious are completely counterintuitive to me; the only intuitive site is, Directbet with a clear (although not favorable) odd offering.

Compare, UK mainstream fiat sites offered the YES at 4/9, the NO at 7/4.

Help in explaining betting odds, UK and US style: http://www.online-betting.me.uk/articles/understanding-betting-odds.html

You have still time 'til the evening to educate me about these sites and recommend me one with good odds, thanks!

Actually, I'm talking about this one: http://www.directbet.eu/Event.cshtml?EventID=27478353

@DirectDice

Actually, I didn't make my bet yesterday in the evening, on your site, because it was down to 1.34. 10 minutes ago, it was 1.44. Now again, it is 1.37 again,  Cry

What algorithm do you use do calculate odds? Btw, your site is not clear about when is the deadline to place my bet. I though it was today, 6 AM, but it seems it is still open.

Someone recommended BetMoose, yesterday evening I was unable to find this:

https://www.betmoose.com/bet/grexit-greek-bailout-referendum-2015-1202
Now it's there again; confusing.

OK, we still have time 'til the evening, which site gives me the best odds if I want to bet on the YES on today's Greek referendum? I only want to bet - as for today - on the referendum, no Grexit, and such.

There is a better option which is Fairlay, they have a market on the vote (yes @ 1.4) as well as a market for

Whether 1.4 or 1.49 is better, depends on which side of the bet you are. It's not a one-way street.

Thank you for the guide!

Irish bookmaker Paddy Power already paid out on ' Yes ' votes for the Greek Referendum.
It is very likely the ' Yes ' side will win.

If that's indeed true then there's HUGE value to be had on this bet, DirectBet currently has the odds for "Yes" @ 1.47

And the odds is now going up to 1.49.

This is why I am puzzled when I saw this.

Paddy Power pays out early on Greece voting ‘yes’ in referendum

http://www.ekathimerini.com/198777/article/ekathimerini/news/paddy-power-pays-out-early-on-greece-voting-yes-in-referendum

Why would they do so? I don't see any benefits of paying out early, but on the other hand, the house would be in loss when the result is not the same as they predicted.

Quote
Occasionally, the gambit goes wrong. In 2003, Paddy Power paid out early on Arsenal winning the title, which was eventually won by Manchester United.

I am not sure why Paddy Power paid out early.
It could be for promotion or it could be they want to stop accepting bets on the Greek Referendum.

I bet Greece will go independent with their currency now.  It will be interesting to see how much bitcoin could be a factor but I'm not that optimistic that bitcoin will actually be very profound in anyone's day-to-day life there in Greece.  But yeah, I don't see Greece rejoining the Euro.
