@smesterj really glad you had a good experience, You woke up after almost 2 years just to share this, eh? A bit envious you got that much off. I shared previously that I'd used it in October 2018 and am pleased to say again in April this year. Hope people find this thread helpful when looking up abitsky.

Same findings: they cost a bit more than other airlines on regular routes, but if you're travelling on non-straightforward routes, they are a LOT cheaper. For example, a low cost airline, or from a low cost airport destination, usually NOT at country capitals -- just I actually never tried booking anything more than economy. I would recommend you pay a bit more for option to change ticket because these routes can change and then abitsky won't be helping you change it (so you will end up more paying at counter of the actual airline) if you didn't pay at purchase.

I should check it out, though, business class for next trip.

I was really afraid to use aBitSky but I give it a try because the price in CheapAir was almost double that it was with regular money on Priceline so I decide to try.

I got a price less than any other place I looked on the Internet, I got more afraid, but still crossed my fingers and booked.

The confirmation took hours and I got more afraid until I realize there is a 7 hours difference and at the time I booked was midnight already in Lithuania.

Guess what, today I received the confirmation and when I get to the airlines website to confirm the reservation with the booking number received on the email and my name MY NAME WAS THERE!!!!!! with all the Itinerary.

I don't know how they do it but I saved 0.2BTC that means more than 2k in dollars at today price.

I fell like avoided a ripoff because that is what the regular prices for airlines tickets I looked in the Internet are a ripoff.

For now on I will book with BitSky but First Class not Economy.

Should point out that the thread opened over 2 years ago, but ThomasV of Electrum has said that they're legitimate. Most recent complainant also has a doubtful trust rating, and I'd really be careful about commenting on posts from such users.

Almost necroposting, but I'd like to set the record straight from my own experience.

I do use abitsky, most recently in October 2018. Their prices were NOT 20% higher, but they were dearer by a small percentage for common routes in Europe. However, for the more exotic routes, or those less travelled, I actually found them at a good discount from their closest competitors even on cheapflights and jetradar. Their support also answers fairly quickly, and I've had no issues changing flight details even at airport using the tickets bought from abitsky.

P.S. Not at all shilling abitsky but it's hard enough finding travel merchants accepting Bitcoin, they really don't need to be taken down unnecessarily!

I never heard this site before, i just found a thread about that site here :
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/ann-buy-flight-ticket-with-bitcoin-752165

If they're serious to selling their service,  they must create their official thread here, just saying.

And this is from scamadvisior :
http://www.scamadviser.com/check-website/abitsky.com

Like Joel_Jantsen said it may be risky to try.
It is really risky, I found this article https://www.ccn.com/fly-cheap-easy-bitcoin, they have been on existence 2014 people should be warned about their service since they do not offer a refund for cancellation this is the first time I heard a no refund in cancellation, they should be reported to the authorities.

Not recommended!

Tickets are 20% higher on their website and they also don't refund even if you paid for cancellation option.

The company is full of scam.

I had 2 problems with them already and after this will never use them again!

Not a scam; I have used them several times successfully.

"operating since 2002" refers to other websites run by the same company.

I just called. They're probably a scam.
Did they answer your call? I have never heard about them and if they are operating since 2002 as they claim their name should be quite popular one. I also suggest you to try https://www.cheapair.com/ as suggested above by another guy.

Edit: It seems this site is also running google ads so when someone search for book flight with bitcoin ad of this site pops up. I think OP you have also came to know about this site by google search.

The site looks like one of those double your Bitcoin in 24 hours site. Owner did not spend in enhancing the looks of his site to make it more legit but i'm not saying its not legit, its just that sometimes how the site looks like will say what kind of service they provide. if site looks like crap then they provide crap.

Looks old website, also there's no SSL certificate embedded.
I would recommended if you want to book flights, you can use https://www.cheapair.com this is legit site with good credibility too.

It's been up for two years and the price is almost the same as other booking sites and the person I know is stuck so I'm in a dilemma.
Well,if you're so confident about them, why not just go ahead and use the service ? My comment was the first impression I got after visiting the site.Rest is upto you.

I just called. They're probably a scam.

I would never ever send bitcoins to a site as shady as this. Not only that but there are lot of unprofessional edits on the site. You might want to call them up and inquire more.

Has anyone used this?
I need to book a flight for a person stuck in another country (from one European country to another).
Are they legitimate?
