Why don't you show us details of the transcation this would be clearer. And also have you been using the site before if yes had you ever experienced any hassles such as this one. Well if the site is legit you need to relax some times transactions takes time. And I think it's also traceable

Not sure what you mean details of the transaction? I have a screen grab from the transaction froze? My post was in by no way trying to bash this company, initially it was just my panic at thinking I may have lost the coins, that's why I came back and posted that it had been resolved.

Don't focus on shapeshift if your problem is the KYC and it is likely the same as changelly which is delay on processing when exchanging your crypto to other coins.

There are many options to use like changer.com they also support perfect money and they don't require sensitive information or KYC.
I'm using this without any problem until now.

So move on guys if you don't want to recommend shapeshift, me either I'm using this because it was better than changelly before but right now after require some sensitive info I stopped using them.

following your comment, finding here an useful site to compare hashrates with different coins.
This is an explanation of different time of confirmation for a transaction.

I have encountered exchange that 1-3 delay of withdrawing transaction because as what they say they are having manual process due to like what happens of Binance that recently hacked.

It's also easy to forget that many places now want more confirmations from weaker chains. I tried Shapeshift with Bitcoin Gold, which of course has been 51% attacked in the past, it took about 8-10 hours to complete the exchange.

I seem to recall Kraken requiring many more BCH confirmations than BTC confirmations so if this place is similar it's going to take considerably longer than two hours on a good day.

OP if you have contacted their support team you may understand regarding your issue because that has also happened at me, I almost pissed off.
Mate 2 hours delay of a transaction from an exchange is a normal thing for me, or better to ask to their social community service like telegram group it may help you.

This amount of money could be done in binance without any kyc.
I didn't know faa.st , but as Omega scream says it is legit.

But I would never do that transaction in a service like this.

Hmm. Never heard of this in my entire life before this thread.

The credentials look a cut above the average. I don't understand why OP would put such large sums through it all the same. And I don't see how they can remain full anon forever. They claim not to be handling money. They are facilitating the trade of it.

Well seems in my case it was just a technical issue and they sorted it, they have now complete the transfer after me contacting tech support.

Not sure if ill use them again though this has left me feeling very nervous.

Thanks

It's just come to my knowledge that faa.st is made by Bitaccess which is a company I could vouch for. They make Bitcoin ATMs and I must say they are very professional. I had an issue with their ATMs ones where the bitcoins have been sent but I never received the fiat from the ATM. The support was very fast, and I got a refund easily.

I'm not affiliated with them in any way but my point is that technical issues are a common thing within the crypto services, so unless it took them weeks to answer you, for example, there is probably no reason to not use them again.

If this is the case i don't see any reason to not use them again.
They reacted fast and helped you so i would just be neutral for now.
Its easy to accuse someone, but to repair damage done is often almost impossible.

Lucky you then and I will advice you to use crypto instant conversion like shapeshift which popular and long exist in business because the faast is not popular and today will be the first time I hear about it.

for me shapeshift is not really good to use if we want to stay anonymous because shapeshift currently require the user to register and verified our account to be able to use the website.
btw it's my first time saw faa.st website maybe will be next shapeshift

From the looks of it, you need to give up control of your coins for a short period, but will essentially automatically withdraw your coins as soon as your trade executes.

It is not possible to trade one coin for another in a 100% trust less way in which neither party needs to trust the other.

It doesn’t look like this company even has very much capital because they are outsourcing their trading to third parties. Eg it appears that you are actually sending money to a third party who will trade on your behalf on an exchange and will withdraw from the exchange on your behalf.

I think Shapeshift requires your ID now? So that might not be a viable option if you're trying to convert 10k+

What i don't understand is:
Quote
Trade directly from your wallet— we never control your funds or see your private key.

How does this work exactly? Huh I'm kinda confused as to how FAA.ST operates? How exactly do they make the trades if this is the case?

I just tried it again with a very small amount, that went through ok, when I searched my address as you suggested it just showed the one going through now. Sad

I have sent an e-mail to support, will they have full records of what went on? and if it was a failure on there end will I get my fund back do you think?

Thanks
Firstly, I think you need to move this thread to technical support so you can get better respond.
Secondly, the company might be selectively scamming people as said by above user aside the small transaction you did which went through, their terms and conditions is somehow not in favour of their users "Faa.st takes no responsibility if a conversion does not complete as expected. "
You can try to contact this email [email protected] though.

I don't want to jump to conclusions but they may be selectively  scamming people.  They process the small deposits but anytime there is a decent chunk of coins they just keep it.

It could be a technical problem and they couldn't process the withdrawal for some reason. As far as I know, faa.st is a legit service so you should try to contact the support: [email protected]

Just make sure to first try to paste your receiving address in any blockexplorer to make sure that you actually haven't received anything and it's not a problem from the wallet you're using.

I just tried to do a swap on the FAA.ST website, $10k BCH for BTC, the BCH went from my account but the order continued to show pending after 2 hours I never received the BTC in my account.

How is this possible? have I lost my money?

Any advice please?
