I also have the Wagecan debit card and it works.  Some may consider the loading fees a bit high, but to me it's easier than trading on LBC.  Their transaction history on their website only updates once per week as well so you have to keep a mental note of your balance (though you can check it for free at any Mastercard ATM).

A few months ago I looked into the Bit-x card, but when I checked you cannot get raise your account to the basic verification level in the US which limits your total transactions per year to 250 euro.

What are the options out there? I just got a WageCan debit card, but it's a bit disappointing. The exchange rate essentially cuts 4% into your balance. Plus, it stores the balance as USD, so it's not really clear to me how this is different than just withdrawing to your checking account and using a regular debit card when needed.

I've heard about ANX. Any thoughts on them?

Also, has Xapo made any indications as to their progress on releasing a debit card for US customers? What specifically is it with US laws/regulations that are making it harder for them to release in the US as opposed to anywhere else?

I have a Bit-X card. I have tested it and it works very well. I haven't managed to check my balance on the ATMs.

Drawbacks are certainly fees. They are quite high but this is brand new service and I am sure as competition heats up, fees will go down. Bit-X had a very annoying fee, a maintenance fee that charged you all the time just for having a card even if you didn't use it. Thanks God, they have droped that.

For US residents your working choices at this time are limited to WageCan, ANX and Bit-X. If you do not want to order a bitcoin debit card Coinomat makes it possible to fund a card you already own using bitcoin. Full list at your bitcoin debit card options for all countries.

I wouldn't use it if I were you.
It's nice and all, but the fees are so high.

if its a Crypto card it should be storing your balance in a crypto address and spending in dollars, sounds like a really good idea

as while ur not spending ur balance it will inflate like crazy !!!

I've seen X-bit has a debit card thanks to their signature campaign which is everywhere these days.

Looks good and CEO seems like a competent guy, I saw an interview with him the other day. You need to verify your info with a bank to get any sort of withdraw/deposit volume tho.
