As for now, we won't get any result from this innovation in the market but let's just wait after some years from now, this event will take a huge responsibility in the future of Bitcoin since they trust bitcoin so much. I mean, they won't gonna regret this decision since most of the companies right now are reaching their hands to get a huge chunk of Bitcoin on their companies.

This sounds good, but how many people will actually use this feature?
Just never think about the number of people who will be using this service as it's a new service and you can't expect a lot of people will be using this service.

I personally put my focus on more exposure to crypto. This sounds good for bitcoin to be adopted by various service.
Bitcoin has a new company in the US started to adopt it and more to come soon.

I already saw an article about the usage of bitcoin for acquiring a passport and this seems to be a good move for the crypto community, we can now see the improvement of the bitcoin as an alternative way of payment system or currency on which some establishments ate also accepting cryptocurrency as a means of payment an this is good to promote the usage of bitcoin and learn how bitcoin works. It will also a good move to be attached from the government and somehow it will give a good result in the future.

That's the question, but you might be surprise since demand for using bitcoin is increasing. This is for convenience  too as others needs option and bitcoin is the right choice for tech savvy who wants ease and secured payment. There are many business wo are using the cypro platform and its  no surprise that government agencies  and major companies are slowly adopting this new financial derivative.

Wow! These news are now becoming on a daily basis. And it's great to see the attention that bitcoin has drawn. With time, more and more companies would accept bitcoin!!

This sounds good, but how many people will actually use this feature?

If you have bitcoin and notice you're in a plane that accepts the currency, wouldn't you be pleased to pay? That's the dream!

if there's available option to pay in btc, people at some point will use it, usually for convenience purposes. just like what you mentioned, if youre in a plane and you need to pay them and luckily youre a btc holder, that will be your saviour for the day. so it is better to have a crypto payment option rather than nothing, as you don't know the needs of every person.

and it seems that merchants or institutions are now recognising crypto as viable option for payment method these days. expect that we will see more of them in the next coming years.

I'm very surprised you need to go through a company to get a US passport. Surely this is a government function ? Is this company skimming on top by helping you gather paperwork, photoID etc., make you pay for that, then you get your passport through the government anyway ?

Kinda neat option to have honestly, though I doubt there’s much interest in paying with BTC for their visas at this point in time due to the recent surge in prices, but it’s a welcome option nonetheless. Even with third-party integration, more services opening for bitcoin or crypto payments is welcome, until such time that these services figure out that keeping crypto as is would also be beneficial. I think PayPal’s initial announcement ushered a new trend for companies to accept btc and crypto again after its initial phase 5 years ago, with Bitpay manning the payment processing helm.

This is simple that as it starts to operate, few people may have interest in it but as it goes on and proofs to be better in service for one sector of foreign travellers, it can be introduced to other areas like shipping and cargo business. If such services open up with bitcoin being the payment portal, more people will be captured and it keeps on growing. This is a good idea for the travelling agency and bitcoin.

The service expansion with bitcoin acceptance keeps increasing in the global market. However it hasn't reached the direct usage. Anyhow it's a good move, because something close to the government service being done with bitcoin acceptance is a big thing.

Somehow the third party involvement is always found with most of the services with bitcoin acceptance. The real state of adoption is the direct usage and the reason for which bitcoin has been innovated is to eliminate the third party involvement.

probably no one? i mean, how many people do you hear saying "geez, i wish i could pay with btc in the passport agency"?  Roll Eyes

thing is that this kind of news about btc adotion help to further legitimize btc, people reluctant to get involved with btc will likely start seeing it in a good light. This is the type of positive news we need during a bull run. But, honestly, whether people will people will use it or not is non-issue right now  (:

When this comes up it is sort of double edged sword news for me.

I want to pay for nothing with Bitcoin. Maybe 12-18 months after a halving I would not mind paying for something in bitcoin, but screw paying for things with it, especially say right now for example. Ten dollars in btc could turn into 1000 bucks really easily.

Being able to pay for things in bitcoin is good for business owners. It is also good for bitcoin and legitimacy. It's not good for bitcoin holders though.

Options are good but people have to understand, what is going on with bitcoin right now is smart money is starting to wake up and do all they can to extract btc from the people.

This is good, I hope here in our country they will accept crypto for us to pay for travel fees and expenses, it could be a great opportunity to bitcoin for people to be aware to its existence and also for crypto people to spend their coin without converting they can pay their expenses directly. It shows that this year people become more interested in crypto.

There are several crypto-firms such as BitGo and Coinbase that provide this kind of service as an intermediary between companies/merchants/service providers that want to accept bitcoin payment without have to deal with the hassle of convert bitcoin into fiat currency. Any company or merchant can add bitcoin payment as an option, since bitcoin become more famous and attract many people. This is why the government should let crypto-firms and companies to adopt bitcoin as an alternative payment method, besides there are a lot of them out there.
