US government

Funds a government generates is from the tax it gets from its people. i.e. US citizens are paying to live in terror. Paying to be mistreated in their own land.

I do not know about those theories you are citing but why would you do that to your own country, to yourself.  Why would you destroy things that keeps you on the top.  Yes, maybe it must have been planned by those people but not the US itself.  What would it benefit the US if he attacked its self?  What would this country gain by doing that?  I think it is pure terrorism.  Terrorism made by evil minds.

Because there is HUGE money in war. watch Loose change on youtube in will open your eyes

We pretty much knew this back in 2001
When..
Immediately after the attacks on the towers..
Saudi officials were rounded up and sent off on a plane.
Bypassing any investigation etc
The same ones with extensive investment interests in the USA.
And the Oil ties of course..

And if you want to paint a broad picture ?
Since Bin Laden was American funded early on then they essentially paid him to attack later.

Lay down with dogs..

EDIT:

I believe the Saudi comment i mentioned here was seen in Farneheit 911 the movie.

A lot of people knew that Saudi's were involved - wasn't like 25 out of 28 hijackers from that country? That doesn't necessarily mean the government wanted these actions. The Saudi government is dangerous in another way - it has been pushing Wahhabi Islam for the last couple centuries while the rest of the world bought their oil and looked the other way. Most of that money went to spreading an extremist ideology by sponsoring schools, colleges and mosques.

There are a lot of conspiracy theory regarding the 9/11 attack about involvement of some US agencies or groups.
I don't think those conspiracy theory holds any truth but them seem to be right in another way.

The royal family of Saudi, one of the largest trading partner and strategic and military ally of USA played a major role in funding the 9/11 attack which again is the money of USA traded for Saudi oil.

The so-called “28 pages” suggest a much larger web of connections between al-Qaida and the Saudi royal family than had previously been known.

Even as the White House – and the Saudi ambassador to the US – insisted that the 13-year-old report did not implicate senior Saudi officials in supporting al-Qaida, family members of the 9/11 victims who have long demanded the report’s release, as well as some of their congressional allies, said they believed the report demonstrated the need for a new investigation of a possible Saudi government role in the 2001 terror attacks.

The report – classified in December 2002 on orders of then president George W Bush – is almost certain to feed public suspicions that the Saudi government gave extensive support to Osama bin Laden before 9/11, and perhaps even directly to the 9/11 plotters themselves, as the US government looked the other way.
