Fanduel and DraftKings are the way that a majority of my friends choose to gamble online. I believe that some of the large Vegas casinos also offer some forms of online gambling. As you said though, none of these platforms are too accepting of crypto. I do believe that DraftKings is a Polygon/MATIC Validator, so they're clearly stacking MATIC and believe in integrating it into their platform. I'm not sure what the holdup is, or if it's already been done and I'm just out of the loop. I think either way it's coming and I'm sure there are plenty of people chatting in back rooms with regulators about what it's going to take to make things like this legal for American citizens.

Land based casino is legal in US but it varies per state. They are just very strict on online casino especially those casino that has license from license board that they didn't acknowledge like Curacao. They have there own license but only few online casino has this due to a lot of restrictions. The casino mentioned by @Haunebu probably are those casino that has a license to accept US citizen that’s why there names are not so familiar here.

There are a lot of online casino that accept US citizen but most of them is crappy like what OP of this thread mentioned since US government wants to regulate there players like what they are doing on crypto exchange to control there profit from taxes.

They may allow users but you will surely get problem while withdrawing your funds sooner or later so if a casino restricted US players then they shouldn't abuse them or else they can take this as an advantage and you can lose money which you actually won with your luck. Bovada and Betcoin.ag are two more sites which are great for US players based on their opinions.

I was surprised recently to learn that there are still many states in the USA where gambling is illegal.

More than 10 years ago it was also illegal to play poker for US citizens, although most online houses turned a blind eye, until April 15, 2011, when the DoJ " issued an indictment against the three largest online poker websites in in the country: PokerStars, Full Tilt Poker, and Absolute Poker. Immediately following the indictment PokerStars and Full Tilt Poker, who generated the majority of online poker traffic, stopped offering players the chance to play for real money, effectively halting the poker boom started in the early 2000s and jeopardizing the livelihood of thousands of American poker players."

I guess a puritanical mentality has a lot to do with the fact that online gambling is banned in many states.

The best thing they could do is to legalize it throughout the USA with proper regulations and open it up to the world market.

Sites like that only shows casinos which accepts fiats and credit cards but they rarely accept a crypto and I think the reason why the op ask this question in a bitcoin forum is that he is only looking for a btc/crypto based casino.

Stake recently launched Stake.us for Americans to have fun on the platform. I personally also occasionally gamble using draft kings, which recently became legal in my state. I think we’re now seeing gambling become more legal, while at the same time there is cracking down on questionable gambling houses. This is ultimately a good thing, but an ever changing landscape can be difficult for gamblers in the US as what sorts of bets we can make seems to be changing by the quarter.

US players won't write it that quickly, but I'm pretty sure that many players from this country will also just gamble with a VPN connection. I have also read that it differs per state whether you are allowed to gamble somewhere or not. Does that only apply to a local casino or also to online gambling?

Bovada is fiat accepting crypto but it isn't regulated in the US although they take players from the US. Same with the rest of them on the list. They accept crypto but not regulated by US. Some of those are crypto only. Some books that are regulated in the US are Draftkings, Fanduel, Pointsbet, MGM, Betrivers, Caesars and some others. They are fiat only. Out of the crypto sportsbooks, the only two that will never confiscate your money from playing in the US are Betcoin and Nitrobetting.

As others have said, sensible US players who want to be sure that their money and account still exists the next day should be playing on fiat currency local casino sites - of which there are plenty out there. I don't know of a single regulated cryptocurrency accepting casino in US borders, but maybe others do. Casinos are often battling against money laundering and presenting a believable story to the regulators in America, which requires KYC, thus defeating the purpose or extra step of converting cash into Bitcoin. You are at high risk of losing your account trying to hide your overseas gambling, because overseas gambling sites avoid US customers like the plague - they've seen too many extraditions and prosecutions of casino owners from friendly countries to make it worthwhile.

I really agree with your opinion on this, because the risk of cheating by using a vpn is very risky, one example is when one user successfully uses a vpn when already logged in, but it could happen that he forgot to turn on the vpn (and his account is still logged in ), his account could be suspended or be held responsible from the user, so this is quite a risk for a fraudulent user. I think they still play in some casinos but maybe they are not very active in sharing their experiences about gambling or they don't share their winning or losing moments.

What I know is that it is good to know if your state in US accept gambling too. Knowing also that sport betting in US is not allowed (I am not from US but I have read it before). Some US citizens that bet offshore too should be careful because their money is not protected by any regulation, the gambling site can take away their money.

Well, Stake.com created a Sweepstake casino specifically for the US players, but I think a lot of the US players are still playing through VPNs on unregulated casinos to get the full experience. A lot of the 3rd party Slot providers has geographical restrictions, so most of the games are not available to US players. Roll Eyes

It gets a bit tricky if you use a VPN and you win something big, because the casinos will use that as an excuse not to honor the withdrawal, if you played with a VPN. (Then suddenly, KYC verification is asked) Roll Eyes

I'm not from US, but I think Nitrogensports is accept US players while most of other casinos that has a Curacao license will not allow US and EU players. But Nitrogensports is doesn't have a good reputation, so you should know the risk. If you want to gamble using fiat, you can gamble on 365BET.

If you want to gamble on a casino that doesn't allow US players and you're using VPN to hide it, you will get a problem in the future.
