Ponzi knows no end, as long as humans are desperate for quick money, they will always be scammed. I wanted to tech some young guys about Crypto, I couldn't because they want me to guarantee them what they can make in a short possible time after paying a very small consultation fee, but I just couldn't. Some have chosen to invest in platincoin even though it will eventually scam them.

the United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) believes that the case against the serial Ponzi scammer, Renwick Haddow, has yet to be properly solved.

It's been solved. He plead guilty to fraud-related charges and is awaiting sentencing in the Bar Works and Bitcoin Store Inc. cases. The SEC complaint is that the court still hasn't dealt with the associated monetary penalties. They want to levy civil fines and disgorgement, but that often doesn't happen until after criminal sentencing.

The SEC is not interested in the sentence, nor that he pleaded guilty, what they want is money and they want it right now!

How do I know that? We have to re-read this part specifically.
