 Wonderful. Hurray!

I trust Crypsy more than  all other exchanged combined. Closing in on 3000 trades for most of the last year they never failed me yet.

Growing pains? Yes. But sooner or later they always seem to come through.

Of course for those that do NOT pay close attention and don't make certain not to trigger duplicate trades or otherwise re-trade into stalled trading servers well what does one expect in such an overwhelmed starts system?

From stalled wallets and more...they have endured and overcome extreme growing pains. Get over it. Deal with it, or go with another site but man it's much mine field many other places with too many unknowns for this prudent traders tastes.

Still, I stand by my statement. I trust Crypsy  more than all other Crypto Exchanges combined (it should be extremely obvious why too).
I have yet to see  or read about any credible evidence they intentionally, maliciously, or otherwise scammed or cheated anyone at all. Yes crap did happen to a few, I never had any serious problem what so ever with Cryptsy nor read about anyone that didn't end up being made at least whole, per say. Lost opportunities happened to me too since I ran for cover when the trading engines and/or servers were overwhelmed in December 2013. Okay. That's the bottom line. At least so far Cryptsy has proven trustworthy. Will that always be the case? Like everywhere else it's 50/50 odds.

As for any/all negative balances: Always keep track of all your trades and balances, before and after every trade: Copy & Paste to Notepad or whatever straight from the trading page, all BUT the AMOUNTs can be Copied/lifted right off the trading page. At least this way you also have proof of what you did as you did it. That only adds about 100% to anyone's credibility should any issues arise. Of course then one can quickly note to self that their balance hasn't caught up with all their trading too. Ya think? Geeze...

I cringe when some slam the most worthy Exchange in Cryptocurrencies. Put up or stuff it.

Why? Because many newcomers may be mislead by misinterpretations. $#$%!#$%

Best Regards to Cryptsy.

Some time ago BitJohn commented in that.

Here's what he replied. You can check the post yourself.

BitJohn, now that you're here. Can we get an official word out on what's going on with the USD markets? We've been getting the  within the next week. message since day 1. Was their opening halted for those features showcased here?
So the compliance side of the USD markets is pretty complicated we had our solution on the exchange side close to complete but part of it had to be reworked. Since its compliance for FIAT has to be perfect. We expect it will get worked out soon and we can get moving Smiley

thanks dude

so basically could be another year

A lot of BitCoin's value seems to be weighed on people's ability to trade it for other coins.
Well, you would have to buy Bitcoins and then sell Bitcoins, kind of evens it out.

just buy Doge directly
You mean *insert altcoin here*, right? Wink

My concern about adding the AltCoin <-> FIAT markets is actually for BitCoin.  A lot of BitCoin's value seems to be weighed on people's ability to trade it for other coins.

I'd hate to see people quit using BTC because now they can just buy Doge directly - but, this is the natural flow of things I suppose.

I think adding Fiat to the exchange would just complicate things and greatly increase their risk of problems due to regulations

hmm new market right
i only see BTC/Fiat or LTC/fiat
no one try DOGE/fiat or FTC/fiat
if this new market succesfull, many other site will copy this concept and new ALT/fiat trade will appear soon

Oh other are doing it too already. But Cryptsy is not quite the same thing. With 157 total active market pairs and a ~2500 BTC daily volume you could say that it's one of the biggest altcoin exchanges if not the biggest. It's going to be intresting seing what's going to happen after trades in the fiat markets start.

I think it will be really good for altcoin. Cryptsy work well they do what they can for keep ppl happy. Never get any problem on my side ! So lets go altcoin to fiat & fiat to altcoin ! This will less use the btc value & allow ppl invest directly in the crypto they want. Why this dont come before???.

Actually they've been talking for a USD market ever since the early days of their exchange. You can see BitJohn (creator of the exchange) mentioning it back in June 2013 in this post: https://cryptocointalk.com/topic/333-cryptsy-exchange-information/?p=1260 My guess it that the paperwork took longer than expected. I predict the thing is going to be stable after all this work put into it.

Cryptsy's reputation isn't exactly stellar these days.

I personally have never had issues with them, but others have.

Would be an interesting experiment to see just how much trust they leverage from the community as a whole.

I'll have to agree that their reputation isn't really that solid lately. However there still is a huge volume in the exchange and the price of their shares in cryptostocks.com also increased after the update. It seems to me like the markets are going to have a good opening.

It seems like FIAT to altcoin pair markets will be opening really soon in Cryptsy. What are your thoughts?
