Received a nft from USDCCOIN.ORG stating 1 nft swap=1250$ USDC at the site.  Can anyone either vouch or confirm validity of this prior to me linking wallet and undertaking risks associated with that process. Contract address is 0xd2ffB812A0a63FCceBEAdE5959E388fa6eb8D421. Comes with description “Owning this badge indicates that the user has received $1250 USDC AIRDROP.  Any comments would be appreciated.  It is on Polygon Eric-1155

Airdrop is the new scam on two of my wallet alone I received 5 unknown airdrops and they are being traded on Gecko terminal but it's a trap every time you try to exchange the fee is increasing but it never pushes through some of these airdrops are a clone of legit coins, you should also be careful connecting your wallet to a platform where they point or direct you to trade their airdrop its another trap, they can wipe out all your funds, use a new wallet if you're going to link.
Airdrops are not what they used to be, scammers have found or used them now to victimize people because of their greediness

Airdrop is now famous so most provably that this scammers are now with this trend so we need to do extra precautionary measures before receiving any airdrop tokens since that no scamming will happen. We should not put any amount with them since sometimes they say to invest then you will get more bigger share and for that this should be an indicator that they are not good choice for us. They create that only for the profit and not for building a good platform and a technology by the help of their project create or even the tokens they release

I didn't mean to protect the project, but what's the scam here?

You got the NFT that they claimed can be worth for $1250 USDC, then what's the difference with the bounty project that claimed they have 500.000 token share and the token will worth $5 during the distribution date.

If it's scam, every bounty project should be scam too.
If you use a brand new wallet and mint nft, then you can then see what permissions you have given to access your wallet. In the case of a new wallet, you will only lose commission on mint nft.
It is worth taking part in similar projects only from a new wallet with no coins. Then scammers won't steal anything from you.

By the way, if you use Debank.com , then you might have noticed that he immediately identifies such NFT as scam. Today, a fraudulent NFT in the amount of $ 1,500 was dropped into my wallet from usdclive.org So if you carefully look through your wallet for the presence of similar NFT, there will already be more than a dozen of them.

You've got an NFT from USDCCOIN.ORG that's worth 1250$ USDC? That's quite the claim, ain't it?

But meh, there is no freestuff like that. It apparently a great scam. DO not put so much hope in it and do not attempt to involve in any swap or trading activity because the code might steal all the money in your wallet

I don't request loans~
If you were to check the domain details, it was registered just a few days ago so it's relatively new, and that's mostly a red flag when it comes to stuff like this, especially if it claims to be "free" and you just have to do x amount of things. If you also consider how this is their website, you'd be prone to attacks like session hijacking, malicious malware that forces you to download it and stuff like that. I'd suggest to just leave it alone and move on, maybe in the future if it is actually legit, with the nft in your possesion I don't think it'd be too late to claim it.

...Any comments would be appreciated...

It's good that you asked for advice on the forum before visiting a phishing site and giving approval to write off the contents of your wallet. You should question every airdrop distribution, because in order to get any airdrop, you need to perform certain actions for the benefit of the project. And what did you do to claim $1250?

simply ask yourself, if it is too-good-to-be-true, then high likely that it is a scam. a legit airdrop won't just give you free thousand bucks without doing anything. guess, a lot of people will be victims of this stunt.
a lot of these scammers will also use seemingly official name of the coin but it is not.

Foremost, they are using the official USDC (circle) page to make them look like they are official or legit.

If they want to sell off their shitcoins, why don't they create their own website?  Roll Eyes

They are imply obtaining money through impersonation or false pretence.

Nobody said some bounties are not scam, otherwise why are they abandoned and left for newbies and account farmers?

You probably missed the point where you have to connect your wallet to a certain site before you can claim the airdrop and that is where the scam will most likely take place. They entice you with NFT that's worth x amount of money so they could probably gain access to your wallet. That method is way different to the bounties that you're comparing it with.

The site is a clone of circle's usdc page but are in no way associated with them. If there were any such airdrop, it would have been stated on the circle website or social media which isn't. The domain was registered a week ago for a year time. Everything points out that this is just an attempt to take coins from your wallet. I tried to connect my freshly generated wallet and it just said I'm illegible, maybe they'll try to get your private key if they found any balance or randomly initiate scam transactions which you may approve accidentally.

If the offer is to good to be true its not true word lile this should be always in mind so that we will not get scam by those pretenders. Also never link your wallet to any scam platforms so that you will not give them a access to your account and better avoid it. If you are still skeptical because you believe its true then create a dummy wallet then try it so that you would know if they give or they are just scamming people trying to participate their fake program.

It's a scam, and for sure, we all have different kinds of scams. In this kind of bounty scam, the project team happens to always fail to fulfill part of their promise, as their tokens are usually worth less than what was initially awarded for the campaign. These types of scams are similar to taking advantage of hunters.

But these popular airdrops and NFts now are far more than that, as most of them give out tokens or NFts that they claim are useful and will want you to use your real wallet in claiming or marketing them, which puts you as the wallet owner at a greater risk of losing either the money you will spend for the contract approval or any form of fee they may ask for, and you can also likely lose everything that you have in that wallet used to connect to that Dapp, as the major purpose of most of those airdrop developers is to hack victims wallets and make away with their valuables. which makes it really different from bounty scams.

It's a scam. I received it too. It will be pushing you to connect in your wallet and scammer will drain all the money in your wallet. Just ignore it. There will never be easy money like that. It's only a spam NFT created by scammers.
It has used the same method as when scammer was sending you dusting token to your wallet. Be careful with too good to be true promises that mentioned in the scam website.

That site he been made for scamming purpose. Just try to block it or whatever you can but never try to trade or send it.

I'm one of the moderators on the project, and we have our own marketplace.

Currently, there has some scams happening on the chain with (NFTs) stuff. Smart-contract send you NFTs with picture (Airdrop Coin) and includes their scam link on the picture. One advice in crypto, never followed anything about (free-stuff) sending to your address, chaint transaction, email, personal message and other.

All these things send by that are scammed, (Metamask) also tried to block all these site.

Just a copy and paste of the real circle website under the USDC section - https://www.circle.com/en/usdc
Do not connect your address containing assets to the malicious website
Do not send NFTs to the website, you will get scammed.

And it will be more appreciated since this board is on bitcoin discussion a d this concerns NFT discussions, there's a board a hope you should have been aware of for altcoins discussion and it will be very helpful more if you could move this thread to altcoins discussions board, some aspects of our discussion were best fit in a particular designated board for discussion in other to avoid mix ups.
