USDT is controlled by Tether. Which is a centralized entity. The token is also censorable and is dependent on some networks. So I don't think decentralization is important if what you are using is USDT.

Anyway, Have you tried to look around on the WordPress plugins marketplace? https://wordpress.org/plugins/search/usdt/.

If you browse around that page, there is a plugin that offers a non-custodial payment gateway. Some require you to buy the plugin and some are not. I did not look deeper into which ones are recommendable, so you better compare each plugin that suits your requirements. Also, make sure the plugin is maintained and secure.

Yes first thing I did was check there, but as mentioned didn't find any non custodial except BTCpayserver but that has no USDT capabilities, was wondering if anyone knows any BTCPayserver alternatives for USDT checkout

Did you try Bitpay checkout payment option?

I have seen Bitpay payment on many websites which accept crypto as a payment option. Bitpay supports more than 150 different tokens/altcoins and USDT is one of them among some other major stablecoins.

Bitpay is a non custodial wallet so I think it will be decentralized without any third party app involvement.

And also 2% + 25¢* for crypto acceptance and KYC is required it seems but good part is settlement feaure for 38 currencies as fiat into bank accounts but their fee for crypto is too high since way better options there like nowpayments if u are after fiat settlement also

But it doesn't exactly offer non custodial service like Bitpay server with auto settlement into ur own wallet in USDT...

BitPay notifies the merchant and the corresponding amount is credited to the BitPay merchant account minus our 1% processing fee and it said it credits to bank? Not to wallet address specified? Probably bitpay signup would also need KYC right?

This does exist via several plugins but it is all centralized meaning the provider of the plugin would setup a service where they collect the USDT charge a % lowest I found was 0.28% per transaction and then keep it on their wallet till you request a withdrawal. Which kind of beats the purpose of decentralization. Only thing I found out which allows own wallet connection is BTCPayserver using their free host provider sites to propogate transaction and auto deposit the amount to your electrum wallet. The problem being electrum does not have USDT acceptance, while besides this BTCPayserver accepts connection of Cobo valult, Coldcard, Wasabi, Specter desktop, Passport not sure if any of these wallets are similiar to electrum which runs on your laptop but can accept USDT deposits??

I also saw another thread about omniwallet & coinomi but not sure if they support automated checkout with verification if coins recieved and mark order as completed once it verifies on wordpress website? Also not sure if they have any intermidiary charges and centralization as the other services I described earlier?
