Is usd's continual drop in value also affecting btc maybe?

Before USDT everything traded in btc and you didn't see so much of a sell off of Alts with btc rise. Everyone just looks at usd price now so when there is a big drop in btc value, the chart does not correct.  I think on the other hand it is helping btc rise to new ath's. Btc is free from having to drag around all the alts with it when it went up. Alts used to rise with btc in dollar value.

I think the premium alts are going to have a hard time staying alive now. BTC goes up ,, Alts fall but now there is no correction because everyone goes by the usd price. BTC is a big black hole now sucking all the money out of the altcoin market.
