What exchange can I get Usdt from the Binance Smart Chain or Tron if the only exchanges I can use is coinbase and gemini?

Binance Exchange is one of the trading platforms that has most of the blockchain, so we don't have to choose any other alternative. But if you want low fees, you can use the FTX exchange. In addition, the advantages of FTX can add exchange wallets, so we can make deposits to different wallets. If we make a withdrawal, then the source is out of the exchange address. And we can convert tokens easily without having to trade.

there are alternative ETH networks, such as polygon, binance chain, solana, where you can transfer USDT and pay 0.5$ or even less for a transaction, I can't brag about ETH, now the commission can reach up to 20-40 $ .So there is a choice and quite a lot.
indeed there are many network options to choose from in USDT transactions. but it also has to look at where we're going to transfer. if the withdrawal is made from a certain website, usually the fee will be more expensive. and there may not be an alternative network provided. it will be different if we make a withdrawal from an exchange or wallet to wallet. we can choose the network that we like.

The simplest way to send out payment is on binance peg usdt or ETH, but if withdrawing from website it best advice you using exchange wallet maybe no more charges involved or sending from one wallet to another most times it saves stress of being recked with fees.
If you will send through Ethereum Network than it will always high transaction fees. No matter the transaction is from website or others wallet. ETH is the most expensive network, how it’s a simplest way to withdraw your payment? Where involved crazy fees. USDT is always completable in TRON blockchain, here you can send payment very smoothly and lowest fees.

Fees of sending USDT is pretty cheap on any blockchain besides Ethereum which will cost you like $5-10 a transaction on a good day. Unfortunately a lot of exchanges doesn't support USDT withdrawal on other networks besides Ethereum.
If it is calculated that the cost of sending USDT is very cheap on any blockchain, but there are also many exchanges that do not support USDT withdrawals, so many people have to choose exchanges that pay high fees, this is the reason why very few people know how to actually get around the high fees. but in general we can check certain exchanges which have slightly cheaper support and fees

Also the fee on Omini layer is costly as also on Ethereum network like you said.

Zero fee on Algo network
$1 or less on Tron network
$1 or less on Solana network
$0.8 or less on BSC

Very cheap fee on some other networks too.
BUSD from Binance exchange withdraw fee is zero but all of the fee is maybe near 1$ so its depend on exchange to exchange difference and wallet to wallet if we withdraw TRX its very cheep.

Imagine sending one dollar USDT to someone.

if you send 1$ at least you have to have 2$ to send usdt to other tron networks, but is it not too wasteful to send 1 $ because as far as I know from exchanges there is a minimum USDT withdrawal limit, different if sent from a TRUST / personal wallet

Mate, don't use USDT on Ethereum network if you don't want to spend much gas fee.
Other blockchain are better in gas fee, such as Tron, Binance Smart Chain, etc.
I usually using BUSD on BSC network as my stable coin so i don't need to spend too much gas fee in my transactions.

It's usually TRC20 address which the network is TRX, their rates are the best I have seen for transactions fees
Usdt Tron network fee was zero on Binance and other big exchange Withdraw but for some months now all exchanges are charging fee of 1$ which not looking good. Only Gate exchange provide you zero withdraw fee but minimum withdraw limit is high. Now Ustd Tron,Busd,Polygon has the same fee for withdraw from exchange but if you withdraw from wallet then Polygon is cheapest one.

USDT is a stable token with extensive and super complete network support so that everyone can immediately see the cost of sending transactions according to the network support that is in USDT itself and according to what you suggest it is also very good and not bad to try, even though using TRC20 and BEP20 networks are also very good in terms of saving transaction costs.
USDT charge are simply low, it dot charged as ETH charges. Although it depends on the exchanges you usit to transfer the funds. For instance, Binance is one of the best exchange when it comes to transferring of coins. USDT rates are usually $1. It doesn't extend pass the amount even tho you sending $100 dollar worth of a coin, nothing changes, it's still the same price. It's usually TRC20 address which the network is TRX, their rates are the best I have seen for transactions fees.

How come ETH is the simplest way to send momey while it's slow and the highest transaction fee on all blockchain. The answer on OP case varies on the wallet he is using. Binance BUSD is really flexible among all stablecoins because it charge almost zero fee on Binance exchange for withdrawal while minimal BNB for gas fee for decemtralized wallet. There’s also a bridge available right now on non-custodial wallet so sending tokens in different blockchain is now possible by just paying minimal amount of fee for the blockchain bridge.
Sending USDT trough ETH network is not simple with fees payment almost 15$ until $20 depending each exchange market, but if OP received USDT on his website without any other option have to use with ETH but all website have different fees transaction when withdrawing USDT. Actually on exchange market we have several option choose for sending trough using BSC network have lower fees transaction but we don't know about OP website receiving USDT, does have BSC option network or only have ETH as withdrawing his USDT.

basically sending coins or crypto will inevitably incur network fees.
including USD.
for sending usdt from exchange if you send using network
ETH = fee 10usdt minimum transfer 50 usdt
Bep20 = fee 0.8 usdt minimum transfer 10 usdt
solana = cost 1 usdt minimum transfer 10 usdt
tron = cost 1 usdt minimum transfer 10 usdt
more or less the price range if you transfer usdt from the exchange.
but if you make transactions through non-exchange wallets such as trustwallet, safepall, metamask etc
you will be charged gas from the network you choose.
For example, if you send usdt from a non-exchange wallet using the bep20 network, you will be deducted from the cost of gas bnb.
I hope this helps

If I get USDT and want to send it, what are the current fees to send it to someone else?  I know there is no fee for me to receive USDT.  Most likely if I'm receiving ETH from a site, it will be in the ETH network?

Example I receive USDT from a website.  Now I want to send USDT to someone.  If the USDT is ETH, how much fees do I have to pay?  What if the USDT I am receiving is Tron or another type of network?  I heard there is the BNB network as well.

Does it make sense to send USDT in small amounts as the sending fee could be more than the USDT amount?  Imagine sending one dollar USDT to someone.

It's best not to mess with ERC-20 standard USDT, which is based on the ETH blockchain, because there are always high commissions. The price for the transfer can be more than $10 or even higher. It is better to use USDT of TRC-20 standard, which is based on TRON blockchain. Commissions are always low there, even during the hottest altcoin seasons. The price for the transfer will be a few tens of cents. And it is safer to store funds in this blockchain than in USDT ERC-20.

If we send USDT with the Ethereum network, the costs we will incur are very high and especially if we will only send 1 USDT then it is not recommended to use the Ethereum network because other networks such as TRON and BSC are much cheaper than we use the Ethereum network to send USDT. Because all markets nowadays also provide Deposit services for several networks so we can choose one of them.

Depending on the type of platform, the USDT's sending fee is. When you send USDT from trx platform, your 1 to 7 TRX will be deducted as transaction fee.And when you go to send that USDT from ERC platform, you have to pay high rate fee. And when you send USDT from BSc platform, you will go from one to fourteen cent.

Depending with your website fees transaction, maybe received sending payment from your friend to exchange market you can sending by using USDT with BSC network and almost exchange market fees $1, for USDT with ERC20 or ETH network you spent about 12$ until 15$ depending on market exchange rule and looks expensive fees by using ETH network. You talk about received payment on website but did you see how much fees your website exchange deducted when sending USDT? you have check first before accepted USDT from your friend and better received on exchange market to get lower fees.

It is better not to send someone USDT if only 1$. Why? Because even we are using network like Tron or BSC network, the cost is commonly also $1, except maybe in several certain websites or exchanges that are zero fee.
Moreover, if we send using the Ethereum network, of course, the fee will be higher.

That is what I read as well.  So what exchange can I use then?  The issue is I can't use other exchanges due to where I'm from.
Actually, your question has been answered by @hosseinimr93
Try to read the article that he gave and search for other articles in Google about what exchanges are available for BSC (Binance Smart Chain Network) or Tron which are lower fees

Okay so how many networks are there with USDT?  Is it this below or not?  I heard algo and solana as well but those are different?

ETH
Tron
BNB
BSC
BSC Bep20
It must be more than it You can visit this link and then click on more. https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/tether/ You will be seeing whole of blockchains that used by USDT right now. It has used so many blockchains.

So if you are receiving USDT from someone, it will most likely come from the ETH network unless otherwise stated?
If someone was sending you TRON USDT and you will be receiving TRON USDT, If someone was sending you ERC USDT and you will be receiving ERC USDT. That's why exchange site give you so many options to choose which blockchain that would be used to send your USDT.

Now if are planning to buy or receive USDT and want to send it with the cheapest fee possible, you want the USDT on which network?  Either Tron or BSC Bep20?  Can someone here quickly summarize the exact or approximate fees for each USDT right now when sending?  I know ETH is far the most expensive.  But USDT on the BSC Bep20 network is only 10 cents?  So why do people all not use that one then?

BSC and TRON are the best options for the cheapest fees to send or receive your USDT.

Though your answer is not clear to me, I understand that your queries are regarding USDT fees. Okay, let me explain everything. For usdt sending, there are two questions. The first is centralised, and the second one is decentralised. First of all, if your fund is in a decentralized wallet, then it will cut fees according to its nework cost. The amount won't be cut in USDT, but it will cut the fees in the network coin.

For Decentralised Network:

ETH: $10-$100+ ETH DEPENDING on GWEI.
BSC: $0.05-$1 BNB depending.
TRON: Most of the time, it charges 1–5 TRON. which is equal to $0.08 to $0.4.
Algo: Almost No Fees!
Solana: $0.01-$0.5+ Sol depending.

There are more networks. Because usdt is in every network, that is why in a decentralised case, usdt fees depend on the network.

In a centralised case, most of the cases and most of the exchanges are cut at $15-$50. And they cut the fees in USDT coins. However, if you had usdt in a centralized exchange and wanted to send it to someone, then ask him to receive fund tron or bsc network, there may be a fee of up to 1 usdt. Why do I suggest two? Because most of the exchanges support Tron USDT, so this might be an alternative to avoid USDT high fees.

This is my opinion, and I use it: if I don't need funds in an ETH network, I don't accept funds in an ETH network.I always try to choose between BSC and TRON. If BSC is not supported, then TRON. Thank you.

Actually, just like other blockchains, sending USDT from one wallet to another costs a transaction or network fee. USDT has several networks, and transaction fees vary depending on which network you use.
The transaction price for Tron link networks (TRC20) is $1 per transaction, but the Ethereum USDT network charges up to $30 for transactions, and so on.

I don't have any experience with usdt which is why I ask these questions.  I had thought when you send usdt, it would deduct usdt as the fee.  Then I found out that wasn't how it works.

So for small amounts if you want to send, it only makes sense to use bsc and tron then correct?

Eth fee is depend upon Gwei. If you send when Gas fee high it will 20$+. Normal fee is 8-10$ for single transaction.
Trc20 fee is almost nothing. Polygon fee is nothing. If U send Usdt Trc 20 from Gate exchange the fee is zero.

What exchange can I get Usdt from the Binance Smart Chain or Tron if the only exchanges I can use is coinbase and gemini?
According to this article, seems that USDT isn't available on Gemini at all. Instead of USDT, they have their own stable coin which is Gemini dollar (GUSD).
And according to this guide, tether is available on coinbase. But they only support ethereum chain.
So, if you want to have USDT on Tron or binance smart chain, you have to use another exchange.

Transaction fees depend on the blockchain you are using. If USDT the Ethereum blockchain of course costs a little more than other blockchains. My advice, if you want to send USDT in small amounts, then choose the BSC blockchain, the fees are much lower than others. Some platforms even charge zero.

First of all if you are the receiver you never have to pay any fee as the fee is always paid by the sender of the transaction no matter on what network you are sending/receiving the transaction. To your other question, the fees that you have to pay in order to send some USDT to someone depends heavily on the network that you want to send the USDT on. If you are choosing the Ethereum network then at the moment you would have to pay around 7 USD worht of Ethereum for a USDT transaction, which is quite a lot so it would not make sense to send 15 USDT to someone on the Ethereum network at the moment in my opinion. If you send the USDT on the BSC for example the fees are around 0,10 USD worth of BNB.

So how many total USDT networks are there?
You can see the list of USDT networks on Coingecko or Coinmarketcap.

On Coingecko, click on 3-dots button in front of "Contract".
On Coinmarketcap, click on "More" button under "Contracts".

Then there is talk about BUSD?  BUSD isn't tether correct?
BUSD is another stablecoin which is pegged to dollar too. It has been issued in partnership between Paxos and Binance.

Withdrawing USDT (ERC20) from exchanges though is costly, tried it once, and it's more than $20. You will have to spend ETH too when sending the USDT to another ETH wallet, that's a lot to waste but on the other hand, you can use BTC in LN for the cheapest possible. It's your choice.  I find it no reason to send USDT (TRC20) unless you are just moving from one exchange to another. Can users cash out (TRC20) USDT or in the BSC network?

what the OP needs to make sure of is the address that will receive your USDT. does it support networks other than ETH or not? if it supports you can do it. because now USDT is also available in several networks. depending on the address you are going to.
regarding the fees, I guess you have to do a check on the wallet you are using. like in the Tron network, if I'm not mistaken it requires $ 1 to make a transaction. but usually, it will be different for each platform you use.

There are some conditions that should be paid attention to:
1. If the USDT is on the wallet like Metamask/MEW or other similar types in which they have been in the Ethereum network, you can only use the Ethereum network to send the USDT. And you can check the gas fee of the Ethereum network at https://ethgasstation.info/ (I suggest you check periodically and find times when the gwei gas is low and not crowded). Ensure that you have an ETH balance in the wallet.

2. If you got the USDT in certain websites/exchange platforms, commonly there will be several conditions also:
a. Do the website provide Ethereum network only, or do they also provide other types of Network like Tron or BSC? If they provide some alternatives, it is better to use other networks besides the Ethereum network. COmmonly Tron or BSC have lower fees.
But, ensure that your wallet destination is also available to accept the USDT in the Tron or BSC wallet, or if not, you will lose the USDT

b. Consider the minimum withdrawal that must be fulfilled. Some websites commonly will have minimum withdrawal and if the minimum withdrawal is about 5$ as an example), you cannot send only 1USDT. And so far, I commonly experience that the fee of using Tron wallet will be around 1$. SO, if you want to only send 1$, I think this is better not to do that.

c. If you are on certain websites, commonly there will be also a table of fees, you canc check the information in the website about the fee. Because sometimes, fees between one website to others will be different, although some may ebalso the same.

ETH is most expensive

Tron and BSC BEP 20 is cheaper

Then there is talk about BUSD?  BUSD isn't tether correct?  Then people talk about Solana and Matic... which I'm confused what is it?  I heard of solana but these are also usdt coins?  How many usdt networks are there total then?

So for people that want to send usdt a lot but small amounts, what is the preferred network?  BSC BEP 20 or Tron?

USDT is very costly in ethereum network. The most suitable are tron and busd. Fees vary according to exchanges. But in general, the ethereum network requires a commission of around $35. However, this may vary according to the amount of eth gas fee. But generally tron and busd charge a $1 transaction fee. Gate exchange, on the other hand, does not require any transaction fee on the tron network, you can make withdrawals with a minimum withdrawal of $ 100 without paying a transaction fee.

If you really care about not paying huge fees when sending USDT, avoid ETH blockchain. Use either TRC20, Solana, BEp20 or Matic blockchain, all these listed blockchains have wide support for USDT. when sending to exchange, be sure such exchange supports  the chain for USDT deposit to avoid loss.

Only on the eth blockchain the fees for usdt transfer are exorbitant they can even reach 20 $ on other blockchains such as tron and bsc,etc the average fee is about 1 $

Okay so how many networks are there with USDT?  Is it this below or not?  I heard algo and solana as well but those are different?

ETH
Tron
BNB
BSC
BSC Bep20

So if you are receiving USDT from someone, it will most likely come from the ETH network unless otherwise stated?

Now if are planning to buy or receive USDT and want to send it with the cheapest fee possible, you want the USDT on which network?  Either Tron or BSC Bep20?  Can someone here quickly summarize the exact or approximate fees for each USDT right now when sending?  I know ETH is far the most expensive.  But USDT on the BSC Bep20 network is only 10 cents?  So why do people all not use that one then?

Now let say you want to send small amounts to other people... imagine between 1 to 5 dollars worth of USDT.  You should be using  BSC Bep20 since its only 10 cents fee?  But let say you received USDT on the BSC Bep20  network.  If you want to send it to someone... which coin do you you need in order to pay this fee?  Because if you have USDT on ETH or Tron network I know you need ETH or Tron to pay the fees.  But what about the other ones?

Also this has me confused.  Whether you send usdt on ETH or Tron or BSC Bep20 network, you need to make two transactions?  Thus you need to first send the sending fee in ETH or Tron or BSC Bep20 first to to that USDT address you are sending to?  Then after that, you send the amount you want to send?  Or how does that work since I found out this is actually two transactions you have to make when sending usdt?

Imagine wanting to send just 5 dollars usdt to someone on ETH or Tron or BSC Bep20.  How would you do this?  Also what token you need for the BSC Bep20?

The other thing that is confusing is this.  Most networks use USDT only on the ETH network.  If that is the case, how would someone turn their USDT on the Tron or BSC Bep20 network into fiat in an exchange then?  Let say they have access to coinbase and gemini etc.  Imagine someone wants to turn their 500 usdt on Tron or BSC Bep20 to fiat on coinbase or gemini.  How would they do that since coinbase usdt is ETH and I believe gemini doesn't even offer usdt?

Also what exchanges have usdt in all networks?

I was sent some USDT recently using the BSC Bep20 Network and the transaction fee is just $0.10 cents so it's far cheaper compare to TRC20 USDT on Tron Network with $0.80 -$1.00 worth of TRX and ERC20 USDT on Ethereum Network which is also $3-$5 dollars worth of Ether so I guess BSC Bep20 USDT is far more sustainable with in terms of the transaction cost compared to other Network. and I think its unwise to sent USDT in small amounts because it can cost you more money without a purpose.

the fee depends on the GAS fee. for now GAS is quite cheap at 23-25 Gwei, you can see it here https://etherscan.io/gastracker

and I'm trying to make a USDT transaction for 100$. I see transaction fee -+15$ with 25 gwei. this is quite cheap when compared to yesterday when GAS fee was very high it could reach 90-100 gwei. but when compared to other networks, erc20 is still very expensive.

firstly, it depends on the site that sends you USDT, if it uses the ERC20 network, then it will be USDT which has the ethereum network, it has expensive fees. if he sends you directly on CEX, that's fine, you can choose the network when making a delivery or a withdrawal. You can choose the network you want, such as ERC20, BSC, and so on.

sending $1 is still possible, depending on your needs. however, for the ERC20 network, it seems that the fee required is more than that. remember, the high fee is currently only on ERC20, besides, there are still many people who send $1 using USDT, whether it's to buy something, or just send it. for ERC20 transaction GAS, you can see it at https://etherscan.io/gastracker

Yes as long as you are sending USDT that used ethereum blockchain to your wallet. If you are sending USDT based on another blockchain and it will not be in ethereum network.
Example I receive USDT from a website.  Now I want to send USDT to someone.  If the USDT is ETH, how much fees do I have to pay?  What if the USDT I am receiving is Tron or another type of network?  I heard there is the BNB network as well.
If your USDT was eth and you will need to pay less fees compared when you are sending it in USDT form. If you are using another blockchain and the fees was almost zero. I'm always using TRON USDT. It needs me to pay almost zero fees.

Does it make sense to send USDT in small amounts as the sending fee could be more than the USDT amount?  Imagine sending one dollar USDT to someone.
You will be charging the same fees even when you are sending big or small amounts of USDT.

There are no fees to receive USDT or any others currencies. In USDT transaction, TRON is the cheapest network fee even you can send USDT(TRON) without any fees in some cases, I'm using a few exchanges where no withdrawal fees on TRON network such as Binance. You have to pay big fees approximately 5$-12$ if you wants to send USDT using ERC-20 network. It's depend on the gas price of the ETH network.

There are plenty of networks with USDT on it.

If you are concerned about fees at all, definitely don't accept USDT on the ETH network.

It will take at least a few USD to push your transaction for a confirmation (don't try with less gas as you might just waste more money if the transaction fails).

I would suggest going with TRON, BNB, or even potentially FTM based USDT. If you want less friction then potentially Polygon would work as well, but note that services which accept this may be limited.

To see how much the fee costs as of the moment, you can use this website: https://ethgasstation.info/

And to have an idea and to calculate how much it will cost you to transfer. Check this gas calculator by ethgasstation.

https://legacy.ethgasstation.info/calculatorTxV.php

Well, that's for the USDT in Eth network. Honestly, it has reduced currently because I've seen the gwei has been to high for the past months compared today.

I never tried using ethereum network on sending my USDT for its really pain in the back with the network fees. The only option I have on tron network and bsc which was really cheap and very fast transfer as well. More transactions I had was Tron, so I am used to that network but since BSC is new it only cost 0.8$ which lesser than Tron.

As already stated in previous posts, the fee required for making  transaction depends on network state. The more busy the network, the higher fee you have to pay.

Just note that if you send USDT from your own wallet, you don't pay the fee in USDT. You have to pay the transaction fee in ETH.
So, if you have USDT in an address without ETH and you want to make a transaction, you first have to send ETH to that address. This causes you to spend more money. Because you have to pay for two transactions. A transaction for sending ETH to your own address and another transaction for sending USDT.

There is no fee when receiving USDT from another user, only the sender will pay fees as blockchain transactions.
As far as I know, the ETH fee is updated regularly depending on the current network status or how busy the network is.
When sending/receiving USDT make sure to use the same chain especially when you are using Exchange, if you are using Metamask then there is no problem you only need to add the smart contract.
Yes, there is BNB network it requires Memo tag,

https://www.useweb3.xyz/gas - check 'erc20 token transfer', this is how much you would be paying for ethereum usdt transfer.

On tron, bsc it will cheaper and you will need base token to pay transaction fees on that network (bnb for bsc, trx for tron).

No it doesn't make sense to do small transactions on ethereum network, the transaction fees will be higher that what you send. $1 is huge no.

If you're are receiving Ether from a site and you choose Ethereum network when making a withdrawal, it will certainly be in Ethereum Network

Transaction Fees depends on how busy the network you are using. If you are using the Ethereum network, you can make check gas tracker.[1] It displays the current cost that must be paid in order to get a transaction possible. USDT for example will cost you around $5.2 in ETH
Sending USDT via Tron and BSC is less expensive, but you should consider if the recipient supports the network deposit.

It doesn't make sense to send 1 dollar USDT through Ethereum, your fees will be bigger than what you are sending.

If you are receiver then youll incurred no fees at all. It will be credited on the sender.  If you are gonna be the one send usd, if usimg centralized exchange like binance the fee is 10usdt so its advisable to send bigger amount alwayd to used the fee wisely.

If you are using wallet then it will be based on gas fee whether whats network youve used. Sometime on eth is so expensive to send usdt or transfer.

Fees of sending USDT is pretty cheap on any blockchain besides Ethereum which will cost you like $5-10 a transaction on a good day. Unfortunately a lot of exchanges doesn't support USDT withdrawal on other networks besides Ethereum.
Also the fee on Omini layer is costly as also on Ethereum network like you said.

Zero fee on Algo network
$1 or less on Tron network
$1 or less on Solana network
$0.8 or less on BSC

Very cheap fee on some other networks too.
