It is not clear to me that OP is really using coinbase exchange wallet or coinbase non-custodial wallet?

Coinbase Wallet lets you manage your private keys.

Based from his other (own) thread, it's most likely "Coinbase Wallet" than "Coinbase".
Here's the thread and post link: /index.php?topic=5277244.msg55240047#msg55240047

Because the non-custodial wallet app have USDT in the receive fund's list.

Also, it's best to use that thread to reply instead of this since he's just piggybacking on this one.

There is one thing that could be done.

If you have the 12 words (seed) you can simple import your coinbase seed to a wallet that supports Omni tokens (such as coinomi mobile) and recover your funds.

If you are using coinbase app, coinbase exchange or whatever, then your funds are probably gone.

Apparently, the Omnilayer developers are willing to help by creating raw transactions but coinbase has to sign them of which coinbase hasn't cooperated to. There are lots of victims and none has ever recovered their USDT to this date
He seemingly sent the transaction through er20 not Omni, I dont see any assistance the Omnilayer Dev can offer in this situation.

Have you tried reaching out to them via Twitter support? They are usually pretty helpful via Twitter.
Even if he reach out to coinbase support through twitter the possibility of him getting help is still skinny. Last month a user was in such situation and couldn't get back his token.

฿itcoin for all, All for ฿itcoin.
If i recall very well, coinbase have their own stable coin USDC which they support unlike USDT. Why did you use USDC instead because it's available on Binance?

I did some digging around and discovered that at this moment, it's a just a mission impossible to recover those funds until maybe sometime in future coinbase decide to do the needful. Check out this thread: https://github.com/OmniLayer/omnicore/issues/530

We have an internal list with similar cases. If at some point Coinbase decides to help, we can reach out to the users. If you want, I can add you to the list. Please post the transaction hash and a way to contact you

We can craft and provide them with raw transactions to retrieve the tokens and all they need to do would be to sign them

Nobody else than Coinbase can help you with this, crypto wouldn't be exist if a third party could recover your coins.

Hi there,

I transferred USDT from my binance account to my Coinbase wallet 2 days ago but nothing has arrived. I think I may have chosen the wrong transfer network from the drop down menu on binance. I tried contacting Coinbase support but have had no response. Anyone able to help me please.... as it was a significant amount??

I'm afraid all you can do in this situation is wait for Coinbase to respond.

If you're lucky Coinbase has changed their policy regarding wrongfully sent tokens (some exchanges offer recovery for a fee, albeit a hefty one). Otherwise I'm sorry to say that like OP you'll be out of luck.

I sent USDT from Binance to my Coinbase USD wallet. I sent 5043.00 but only receiving 0.05. Binance shows completed with a transaction ID. Coinbase shows PENDING with an error because 0.05 is below the minimum. I understand I sent one currency to a different currency and that is the problem . But $5,000 is a lot of money to me and I need to recover it. Do you know how to recover this? Many thanks in advance!

Both Binance and Coinbase help have responded basically telling me TOO BAD. I checked the Omni and it shows the USDT as transferred to the correct (my) coinbase USD wallet address. I have also reached out to them for help with no response yet.

I am desperate. Please help.

that was weird with you. first time I heard this. and support coinbase says that?

Unless someone is able to hack coinbase/steal their funds, it is really unlikely that you will recover your money.

As far as i'm aware Coinbase doesn't really do/have any cross chain recovery policies due to them not wanting to access their system that way, ( Since employees would have acces to clients private keys etc.), or it's just a simple way of making some more profits for them..

HERE IS THE EMAIL RESPONSE FROM OMNI:

Adam changed status from open to closed

Unfortunately you have sent your tokens to a wallet/service (Coinbase/Gdax) that does not support the Omni Protocol and there is little that can be done without the direct involvement of their support team. All Omni Protocol tokens, Like Tether, are owned/controlled by the address they currently exist on. In your case you sent them to an address owned/controlled by Coinbase/Gdax. In order to move those tokens the sending service/wallet needs to be able either be able to create an Omni Protocol Transaction, or sign a precreated Omni Protocol Transaction, or have the ability to export the private key for the address in question so you can import it into a wallet/service that supports the Omni Protocol.

At this time you will need to reach out to their support team and request their assistance in a recovery process. We are more than willing to work with them/you to assist in the technical details but since the address in questions is associated with your account you will need to start the support dialog with them first.

At the most basic level they will need to either be able to sign a premade transaction originating from your account address, or have a mechanism that allows you to send a transaction from the address your Tether are on that includes an OP_RETURN output.

Once you get the appropriate support person involved you can loop us in and we can assist.

you have sent 5043.6986426 usdt to the address 34ivvHm4MwDWVuR2FXNzkHyLGE4htxxnjq.

It is suggested to negotiate to the owner of designation address or target wallet kindly to get back your usdt. Sorry, Binance has no way to help you at this moment.

HERE IS THE EMAIL RESPONSE FROM COINBASE:

Coinbase Support <[email protected]>

to me
Hi there,

I’m very sorry for the trouble. Unfortunately, our key-signing mechanism is not equipped to handle alt-coins or tokens that run on top of digital currencies such as bitcoin or ethereum. The security and integrity of our private keys is of the utmost importance to us. As a result, the specific private keys associated with an address are not available to any single person. Due to the inherent security risks involved with accessing specific private keys, it is not possible for our support team to recover funds sent to a Coinbase wallet in this way.

I understand that this is extremely frustrating, but the unfortunate reality is that maintaining and prioritizing the security of our private keys is our top priority, which means we will not be able to return any alt-coin or token accidentally sent to Coinbase-controlled addresses. I apologize, and wish there was something more we could do.

Thank you for contacting Coinbase Support.

----------------------------------

I will offer compensation to anyone who can help make this happen. I am still new to most of this so I must rely on you guys for the help! A million thanks in advance for any support.

https://bit.ly/387FXHi lightning theory
Can you post exactly what coinbase told you. Their support are stupid anyways, they recredited me my money I'd sent in a different currency, and since then I've completely given up on trying to use them.

Keep contacting them if you don't get a response, they'll give in at some point.
