I am sure one of these days there will be a winner who is out of states and will win a big amount only to realize he can't cash out his winnings.

so it only means only users from US can bet on that? so what is the use of bitcoin as betting option then?

Most of the lotteries here in the US do require you to be legal residents. Ofcourse there are options for out of state people. Not sure about the one accepting bitcoin though.

There are other option available for non us citizen that is by participating in some of the powerball lottery pool. Alot of people has been making some pool to increase their chance to win. You could even participate in operatr's powerball pool which you can find in games and rounds section by purchasing shares using bitcoin

No, actually I'm pretty sure that people who aren't citizens of the U.S. can in fact cash out... I think I remember reading that somewhere on a website and they pointed out that fact. I mean, there are places in the U.S. that don't support the power ball, and there are people traveling out of their state to go to the nearest place that sells powerball tickets.. So that's essentially bringing up the same issues of legibility that a non US resident has.

The PowerBall lottery in the United States has hit a historical high of $1.3 Billion USD. The lotto is all the craze in the States at the moment, and people around the world are amazed at the sheer size of the prize. Exbino, a lottery services provider, wants to help you improve your chances of winning that jackpot, and will also let you buy your tickets with bitcoin.

It really shouldn't be said that going through with buying tickets through this website in a "group buy" format is going to help your odds at winning something like the powerball. You would have to have the group buy an incredibly insane amount of tickets to even have a remote chance of winning.

The odds are something like 1/296 million... There's nothing someone or some group could do to "increase their odds" unless they bought like $500 K worth of tickets... Then you would probably have like a 1/2 million chance to win (didn't do math, just making a point.)

If you are not american you can have problems, the news say that if you are lucky to win the jackpot the company will help to claim the prize, and the prize is in dollars not in bitcoins.

Satoshi is rolling in his grave. #bitcoin
It's nice to see lottery business expanding their reach on bitcoin audience as well, but i don't really see why people are getting crazy about the
insane jackpot amounts. To any normal person anything above 10 million dollars is not really needed.
I would rather play something else with higher chances and much lower jackpot, than to surely lose dreaming about billions..

How does it work if a non-american person win the jackpot?
They are clearly saying its only for American citizens and they will give nothing outside USA you need any American citizen for claim of prize without this you cannot take any thing from them

Given the nature of bitcoin payments, that rule isn't something they could verify that easily.

i have see the site, sell ticket for all major lottery but if i win 1.4 billion of $ (to the site now this is the jackpot) who guaranted my a payment? the site can withdraw the ticket and buy a carabian island  Grin

This is what I'm thinking considering the number of these "services" that are popping up. There are no legally binding contracts. If they happen to get the winning ticket (in the event they don't pocket the money), they will just take it and run with their 900 million in cash.

I'd just buy my own ticket or have someone I trust do it if I'm not somewhere that's part of Powerball.

Damn that jackpot is a monster 1.3 billion, chance of hitting that JP is almost nil lol..

I don't think lottery is for other than US citizens. Yes the jackpot number is crazy but if we also win how we get payment if we are outside the US.

From what i know, prize money doesn't gonna be delivered as bitcoin. Grin

So If I am outside USA and win some money that mean it all gonna be wasted? From what I hear you don't have to be US citizen to buy a ticket of PowerBall.
And another question, I didn't know that you can buy digital version of lottery tickets, is there any difference between digital and normal tickets?
