btw, i had ledger live and electrum installed on my phone and they both support hw wallets.

Unless I'm missing some new changes, Electrum for Android doesn't support HW.
Just look up my post for the wallets I've used with my Ledger on Android.

About the cable I don't know what is wrong, but it looks to me it's not a working otg/data cable.
I used an adapter from normal USB (A) to USBC and I use the stock Ledger cable with the adapter and it works. With the previous phone I used the same Ledger S with the same cable, just the adapter was USB (A) to microUSB.

You sure otg cable works fine?

use the same og one on my puter.

Why would you need otg for computer? I mean you can directly connect via USB to pc whereas in mobiles you need otg. I don't get it.

i meant usb cable, i have both og from ledger nano s.

ledger usb cable and ledger otg kit.

i don't know how u guys connect the wallet to ur android device?

because ledger nano-s doesn't have the bluetooth interface.

i tried doing it with the otg cable but it was not recognized by my phone.

Undecided

Does connecting starts ledger or not?

Does this mean you tried to connect it to the Ledger Live app and failed? The process is quite straightforward as long as you use a wallet that supports a hardware wallet connection and a phone with Android 8+ (that's what is stated on the Ledger website, never tried it to verify myself for a lower Android version). For example, here's the official guide to connect your HW to the Ledger Live app[1]. The steps should be similar if you use other wallets app. CMIIW.

yes, that is correct.

my phone uses andorid 10 and i have followed the procedure in that link..

but when i connect ledger to the phone, nothing happens.

it doesn't recognizes it at all.

i tried a few times but it didn't work, i just use it on my puter.

btw, i had ledger live and electrum installed on my phone and they both support hw wallets.

For those who don't need Ledger for altcoins Blockstream Green (open source) and Mycelium (closed source) are also popular options and I pretty much recommend both of them.
I've tried out Green, but maybe I'm not as open to new as I'd like to admit, hence I kept Mycelium which I've used for longer.
