You ccna put a mansion as a collateral in this forum that it doesn't mater boy... we need things that worth HERE, not ouside... I know you got pretty descent attitude but it doesn't fit with Bitcoin world. Maybe you can let it in a pawn shop or you can sell it and try to buy it after, I dunno, you better find a better collateral btw.

Also, how do anyone know if its real? Escrow would have to inspect and know the difference between whats real and whats fake. If you really need money, go sell it.

There might officially not be any in your locality but pawning might be going on one way or the other there that you might not know about; he can even get a friend to pawn his Rolex so please don't limit yourself and your thoughts to an established facility.

is it possible to have an escrow hold my rolex until my loan is repaid?

Yes so long as you both parties agree on the same escrow and you perhaps happen to be in the same city as the escrow else you have to mail him the Rolex - that's a cumbersome process else then you should consider the pawn shops.

Yes, they are called Pawn Shops.  They will give you a loan and hold your watch as collateral.
