Aren't F&F payments feeless?

Your screenshot of the payment shows a fee of 4,26$, so i assume you sent as Goods & Services.

Check that again maybe and open up a dispute with the paypal customer service if it applies. (don't tell them that cryptocurrencies are involved tho)

@petahasher is a liar and a bum!

Edit: Mods please delete my name from this topic!!!
I have nothing to do with this.

Not sure what happened but  whos thread is this? Day Trader or the other guy? NVM i misread that day trader ignore my post!

As far as petahasher goes his fees are steep but never had issues. Its insurance for the scammers it's a business you do not hhave to agree to his rates!

@petahasher is not a liar if you want to say his/her post on this thread. Op first time mentioned your profile link by mistake and then told it. And petahasher just quoted while op posted your link. Also, you can see the same thing by other people.

I never knew that Paypal FF is irreversible. I am sorry for your lose. You should not send FF first neither the scammer too. When a user do not have much rep here, it's always advisable to use escrow.

I will tag the guy and I hope he leaves this kind of scamming profession.

PayPal friends/family is not irreversible, however most of the time once a payment is sent, it cannot be reversed. In certain situations, for example when a payment is sent from a new country/IP that makes it obvious that the payment was not authorized by the account owner, only then will PayPal consider reversing it.

Paypal can be reversed for any types of payment and it can be for various payment. For example:
1. If it has been paid via credit card and the person asked for a chargeback by saying lost/hack credit card.
2. If the person send you the fund by changing his IP and say my account has been hacked. So chargeback will happen. If people ask to prof the way of fnf with the sender you would be able to provide no information so it will be reversed.
3. If the fund of the sender's account came from a hacked/stolen credit card.
4. If the fund of the sender's account came from a hacked/stolen Paypal account.
There might have a manymore reason.

I recognised that email immediately but couldn't recall who it belonged to. Though through a quick search
Drunk Teacher seems to be connected with multiple other scammers, including SatleonxD, DavidXXX among others. Serial scammers.

Unfortunately FF payments are not reversive, so the case is over. I have to change the rules so I will send the money as payment except the other side have some reputable trust.

As EcuaMobi and QS said, technically all paypal payments can be reversed. But it'll be extremely hard for friends and family, and if I remember correctly you will need to claim a hack on your account at the time of the transaction and they may ask you for proof.

I personally wouldn't bother even if there was a slim chance of recovering, though you could always try depending on how big a deal $50 is to you. But the lesson should be learned, don't deal with users with no trust without escrow.

In order to reverse a F&F PayPal transaction that you actually initiated, my understanding is you will need to lie (possibly under oath) to PayPal, which I don’t recommend doing.

Hopefully this isn’t a lot of money for you and you can use this as a way to teach yourself how to better defend against scammers.

$50 doesn`t matter, I want to protect forum users from ANY FUTURE SCAMS with other users where it might involve more serious amounts.

Please post:
  • The PM where he gives you his email
  • The full email (including headers) where he gives you his PayPal address
  • It would help if you post the BTC address you gave him, so we don't have to retype from the image
I've PM'd him and asked to reply here. Meanwhile I've left negative trust.

FYI any PayPal payment can be reversed.

That`s the PM:

That`s the full conversation inc. where he provided his email and as well the wallet I gave him

ACTUALLY IT IS ABOUT Drunk Teacher!!

tHE PROFILE - https://bitcointalksearch.org/user/drunk-teacher-2557410

The SCAM:

In short, just to help others avoid same misstake -

I opened a threat for PP -> BTC trade: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/wts-50-pp-for-btc-11-5136037

That guy sent me a PM with his mail and telegram details, I have contaceted him with email, sent him the money in non-reversive way (FF) and he refused to trade/refund.

proof:

1) first he provided me with hs PP

2) I sent the money:

3) He refused trade as well the refund:

tHE SCAMMER PP - [email protected]

THE SCAMMER MAIL - [email protected]

THE SCAMMER TELEGRAM - drunkteacher

Unfortunately FF payments are not reversive, so the case is over. I have to change the rules so I will send the money as payment except the other side have some reputable trust.

I understand that to humiliate himself that way for $50 that guy must be is some pretty hard situation, but probably he could ask fairly forsome help/donations etc. Or may be, based on the conversation level he could be just a teen or even kid. Anyway for other users could be painfull if burn with some serious amount; so I`ll try to prevent that.
